Feeling pretty low at the moment. I'm struggling to get clients, even though I'm reasonably priced and an excellent photographer. It feels like every creative is more successful than me. I try so hard; my aim is to capture emotions & genuine moments. I don't understand what's not working.

How have I just this minute learned that Walter Carlos was actually Wendy! The architect of one of my favourite pieces of all time (her Moog version of a Funeral March for Queen Mary by Purcell is sublime) was trans. Back in the 70s no less! Freakin awesome.

Silkies are an ancient Chinese breed, but didn't make their way to the UK until the 1800s when they often appeared in sideshows as a cross between a chook and a rabbit. Killi is very smart, but likes to play dumb. If she ever saw a rabbit she'd probably lure it to its death, and profess innocence

Silkies have fibromelanosis: black hyperpigmentation of the skin and... everything. Muscle, bones, heart, she's black to the core (so metal). Other than that, Killi is a softie. She likes lullabies, scrambled egg, worms, and going to bed early like an old lady #AvianArmy

Killi a.k.a Mister Kilmeister, was our very first chook. We think she was hatched around Dec 2016, and was unwanted because she wasn't "show standard". She's a bantam beardless silkie with 4 toes instead of the standard 5. She loves being a mama and raises independent babies #AvianArmy

Hey #TeamNoot. Ya girl went to the vet this morning. She's had a crop stimulant, and reassurance that I've been doing everything right for her. It's good to know, but they're isn't much else we can do. Advised to give pineapple juice, so fingers crossed for her ❤️
