...they shared about the PSB asking for help with FLG members. And I've seen their check in forms too. A former guard liked to tell me how when he was a guard at Zhongnanhai he'd see the ladies coming to visit the top leaders (back in the 70s). Many have told me, "people won't tell you this but..."

I've worked with people who grew up with computers and what I learned is most only know how to use specific applications and for everything else there was always some tech wiz kid who'd do it for them.

if you think the "1644 historical view" (that Qing isn't part of Chinese history) stuff is weird, don't forget the Hanfu movement (which started in the early 2000s) emerged from the same premise. that the garments worn by Han Chinese women continuously in late Qing & Republic era were

The other problem with any thesis like this is that Africa has the most genetic diversity of any continent. Statements claiming there is some common characteristic among all of those populations is old school racism.

I don't trot it out very often but as an actual Ph.D. in anthropology I'm going to say that they are wrong about this. That kind of race science was thoroughly debunked in the 1930s. For starters, you cannot operationally define "African black" in any workable way. They tried.

It's been a few years, but when I was in China the people most dissatisfied with the direction of the country that I knew were mostly insiders. Reporters for state media, government officials. Party members.
