When you're assembling a pint of homemade ice cream, it's not enough to layer the ice cream, ribbon, and toppings. In order for it be fully finished, you have to violently, aggressively, decisively plunge a spatula or big spoon through it at least 5 times to combine, but not mix.

This is the year I saw the Mountain Goats and Guster twice in a week. This is the year where I remembered how much I love making ice cream and bringing it to parties. I made it through this year without it killing me, so there has to be dancing and feasting next year.
