Do you realize what he is refuting here? Karl indicated that President Trump called him after the WHCD to see how Karl was holding up. In other words, Karl said that Trump did a kind thing. And Trump basically yells that that's a lie because why would I ever do a kind or compassionate thing?

Trump has always been an excuse for people to do what they wanted to do anyway, but lacked the political cover to do so. When entities want to oppose Trump, they do. And they’re fine. When entities want to do what Trump wants they do it and claim to be powerless to do anything else.
