Can someone explain a practical use for these raspberry pi touchscreens? They're neat but I don't really get it. They're too bulky and hot to be portable, plus they still need to be plugged in. Also blocks all your other IO pins. #raspberrypi #eletronics

I just realized I've not shared anything we're going to be selling at #FurEh! First up are these hand made squishy paws. They're filled with a phase change material cooling salt. They stay cool to the touch for hours and their texture changes as they warm up! They also glow under UV

A few pictures of the inside, 9 addressable LEDs total, all powered in parallel. Soldering the IO pins together in situ was the biggest nightmare. First, 2nd and 3rd time burning myself with the soldering iron on that step lmao

I sadly ordered the wrong LEDs for the tail :( fortunately it gave me time to work on sanding the gems. Grits: 400>600>1000>2000>3000>4000 Combined 5 hours and probably won't be noticed by most lol. But the effect on diffusion is great and they feel so nice. #cosplay #3dprint #3dprinting #furry

(5/4) I brought the model into blender to add the stylistic details. I turned some symbols to an SVG, then used an array+curve mod to wrap them around the band. a geometry node modifier to stretch and squash the symbols with the profile of the band. Finally, a Boolean to cut out the shapes
