Monday morning ramble: Everytime I see gacha protag discourse happening on my TL between Hoyoverse, Kurogames or whatever and the baseline argument in favor for one is "at least they're actually a character"... All I can think is how non-existent the bar is at this point.

Ok I'm being serious but how the hell did the bot problem on Bsky get so bad? Everytime I post anything, a bot follows or reshares.

I just now there's going to be a big slice of angst when Shimmer's event in the new XBC3 story content has her looking at Rex and Glimmer's statues. "I ran late... I'm sorry."

"Akshually the Straw Hats are just side characters, they were never meant to be the main characters. This is why the dwarves, a nameless rando and 'plucky kid of the week who gets inspired by Joyboy' needs more screentime and development than Usopp, Chopper, or Nami." Cool opinion, unfortunately:

Fire Emblem bender ahead: I feel like prequel truthers for Fortune's Weave are more anxious that it being a sequel would canonize a specific route. But if Three Hopes was anything to go by, I think it might be an alternate timeline sequel. Maybe one where Rhea fell to Nemesis but Sothis lived.

(will delete later idk) Paypros regulating what adults consume, online age ID verification legislations; all topped off with AIslop. Feels like I took art up in a very turbulent era. I really just hope for the best regarding the Senate vote tomorrow but all of this is making me anxious.

Solid Direct. Only disappointment was no Rune Factory 6 but I guess Marv is saving that for their own streams or the series' 20th anniv celebration. I have to get this off my chest there's this weird vocal base of Nintendo fanboys who hate anything anime-looking who are always at the scene.

2012: "SEGA will never localize Yakuza 5." The Big 2026: "The late Bunta Sugawara, Ado, Snoop Dog, and the late Tupac are in the prequel entry that covers the formation of the Tojo Clan." Markiplier, Keanu Reeves, and ishowspeed will join Ichiban in RGG9 at the rate we're going!

Some people might be disappointed that SE probably dropped the "darker and more mature" tone DQXII promised when it was first announced; but DQV had some of the most gutwrenching moments in the series without having to try too hard. I guess they thought "Don't fix what isn't broken".

Creatives don't owe you shit. They fundamentally do not owe you shit. They made something. You saw it. There was never any responsibility involved. They don't owe you a "better version" of the work. They don't owe you "less problematic writing". They don't owe you more episodes. You deserve nothing.

A Gen Alpha taking an unsolicited photo of their classmate reading a book on the bus and attempting to mock them for it went viral. This trend of anti-intellectualism from a generation of youths relying on SlopGPT to think for them who will also be old enough to vote in a few years is ALARMING.

Ramble: Akatsuki from Naruto, Gotei 13 from Bleach (during the Soul Society arc), and OGXIII from KH very much feel like quintessential 2000s antagonists. They had such a massive chokehold on fanbase culture at the time. I couldn't escape em in a lot of video game message boards I was in. (1/2)
