Yesterday was the first time I had heard it. Not because I was avoiding it, but it's very easy to not tap into Hot 100 scene these days. It's become almost like a subculture, albeit a big one.

There are also people who take pride in being out of step with that kind of popular culture. But yeah, I first heard that song this morning because I actively sought it out. I hadn't been avoiding it before, it just hadn't crossed my path

I am only now catching up on the discourse around that song, but a) it's very, very easy to NOT hear stuff these days, and b) a big ol' chunk of the country establishment tilts right politically (including Miranda Lambert), so why is anyone surprised about that? What's the big deal? It's a good song

Finally listened to "Choosin' Texas" and of course Miranda Lambert co-wrote that (complimentary)
