I found a picture to include (attached here) of a sculpture of Antigone by William Henry Reinhart. I don’t know anything about that artist or about Antigone in late 19th C America. Where can I learn more - I’m intrigued!

When the idea that Google Maps would rename the Gulf first came up, I discovered on here that @mapquest.com still exists. And for now, Apple maps hasn’t changed the Gulf’s name. So, I think I’ll try to unlearn my preference for Google Maps. :(

The 71st annual meeting of the South Central Renaissance Conference takes place in Savannah Georgia early next April. Deadline for submitting paper proposals (to me, the conference chair) is December 31, 2023. Please repost. We’re a great small conference, an excellent venue for graduate students.
