Thank you to Mayor @bobdasilva.bsky.social for establishing the Mayor's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC), as well as the local volunteers stepping up to serve on it. 🩵🚶‍♂️🚲 Sign our petition to support safer streets in East Providence: actionnetwork.org/petitions/su...
A Facebook post by East Providence Mayor Bob DaSilva announcing the new members of the Mayor's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (MBPAC). Below the post text, two photos show committee members raising their right hands during a swearing-in ceremony in a conference room.

Post Text
"On Monday evening I administered the oath of office to the new members of Mayor's Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee The members are:Ryan Lauer - Chair Eric Lauterbach-Colby - Vice Chair Andrea Duarte-Campos - Secretary Laura Ostrander John Harris Sam Archer San Shoppell Clayton Lee Graham Melodie Pimentel The new committee known as MBPAC will serve in an advisory capacity to consult the Office of the Mayor and other members of the administration, offering input on bicycle and pedestrian transportation issues, helping guide policy, and elevating community priorities. It will maintain strong connections to broader planning efforts such as the City's Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan, Safe Streets for All initiatives, Comprehensive Plan, and Vision Zero goals. The Committee is empowered to work with and through the Planning Department and other municipal offices in order to accomplish any work deemed necessary. The committee was created in direct response to the recently completed Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan which assesses current conditions and recommends a standing advisory body composed of East Providence residents. It will focus on enhancing non-motorized transportation options for residents of all ages, incomes and abilities, improving access to schools, parks, businesses and public transit, better connecting various areas of the City, providing recreational activities, and improving public health and quality of life for residents and visitors."

Fantastic work! Our members advocated for adopting this program last year, and we're thrilled to see Whiteknact implement it so successfully! ♻️ Disclaimer: This AI graphic was created and designed by the school, not by EPiC.
Post Caption:
"What an INCREDIBLE first day of becoming Waste Warriors! When we completed our food waste audit in the spring, 66 pounds of trash from just one day of lunches was sent to the landfill. Today... only 3.6 pounds! Our Anchors crushed it by pouring out liquids, recycling properly, saving untouched cafeteria food for our share table, and composting food scraps. And as you can see... Mrs. Cahir is pretty impressed! 🤩 We are SO proud of our students and staff for jumping right in and showing what a huge difference small changes can make. Way to go, Whiteknact! ⚓️♻️🌍 Thank you to RI School Recycling Project helping us!" Infographic Content:Header: "An Incredible First Day Reducing Food Waste!
