Buddy Guy was born on this day in 1936. The first half of his career was hard work and for little return. The 2nd half was also hard but fun because he decided to help "bring up" promising young Blues artists. Here's Buddy, with Gina Coleman, on stage in late June at his club Legends in Chicago.

My son who lives in Taos and I had to abort our spring ski trip due to weak coverage out west. Instead, we planned a trip to Valle Nevado in late August. Winter has arrived in the Andes. Yes, thats 2 feet yesterday and about 250" over the next three weeks.
