It really does. Plus the screens increase distraction and cognitive load ten-fold. We’ve pivoted so far now though it would require enormous investment to bring back non (or at least para)-tech in education.

Since any cost to improve the lives of tenants is too much for a landlord, it’s kind of moot but adding a mini spit to 70s mid rises wouldn’t be that crazy. Plus it improves heating efficiency in the winter as well.

Im curious how the government’s shift to offering social supports under the guise of employability will affect client service. It’s happening in other areas too. Learning Networks are now under Nova Scotia Works instead of OSD (many clients are seniors learning to use the Internet, etc).

I have been trying to lure hummingbirds to my yard for about 3 yrs. I’ve only seen one twice before, but now a little ruby throated fella has visited a few times a day since at least Friday!!

I’m out running errands and a gentleman was stopped near my car with his bike. He said everyone needs a hobby! Well I can’t argue with that. Then he showed me pics of money he’s found in gutters while out biking. Also explained that biking helped him survive a heart attack.

When I used a window unit or portable unit my power bill wasn’t much different, if at all. If you can run a dehumidifier on the first floor, it’ll make a big difference too.

Besides the inaccuracies and environmental impact, AI generated advertising is also BAD DESIGN. There is too much information here, the image is too busy, and the central point is lost. Does anything about this improve engagement??

I believe the grub-b-gone works best when you apply in the early spring when the ground has thawed, and/or in the fall. I tried that and nemotodes. I think it’s the kind of thing that needs a city wide response, but I have it a shot anyway!

I had traps last year and had a full on infestation that there was no getting ahead of. This year, no traps, and there are a handful munching their way through a linden but now where near as many as before. At least not yet!

I would love to take transit more, especially to work, but it isn’t cheaper or more convenient. I’m afraid of biking. Honestly most of it is a personal skill issue (time management, bike handling).
