Having to do the quest where Uri talks to Moen's parents broke me, having just had to do the same talk IRL. But FFXIV was also the space that helped me cope with that grief. Attending concerts, going to art parties, making dumb npc alts and fishing all got me through my darkest days (2/?)

[CW: death, grieving] ... sensibly? Probably too important. I started playing with my fiancé, who died unexpectedly back in May 2022 during (I kid ye not) a run of Baelsar's Wall - very sloppeh of him, yes? Playing through EW while actively grieving is not a choice I'd recommend anyone make (1/?)
