I love getting to indulge in my gothic dreams. Also Ravi looks great. It's frickin' bats. I love Halloween. #CovenAP

#NewHouseAP Look at all these beautiful people warming @eorzea-et-al.etheirys.social 's house! (1/?)

Kivallier Farflamme, a handsome elezen man with short brown hair dotted with lighter streaks, a thin moustache and beard, and dark eyes. He sits on the floor in a living room dominated by soft pastel colours, wearing dark leather travelling clothes

Glorious Ruby, a beautiful Roegadyn woman with dark skin, prominent facial tattoos, and long red hair with white streaks at the front, pulled back in a high ponytail with one side braided. She wears dark leather and much silver jewellery, and sits smiling on a pastel blue sofa beside Tala Terncliff, a petite female raen au ra with pale skin, long white hair, and white scales, wearing a pink sweater and blue yoga pants. Behind them, Tala's kitchen is visible with many hanging herbs and sacks of vegetables

Existential Crisis, a charming lalafell man with brown hair, blue eyes and freckles sits on the floor of Tala Terncliff's living room wearing a bouncer's suit, dark gloves and a black baseball cap. Behind him a corgi wearing a red bandana smiles happily, and behind it a collection of cacti are just about visible.

Spark Amstutz, a female xaela au ra with pink hair and bright blue eyes, smiles happily and claps her hands. She is wearing bard's clothes and sits at Tala Terncliff's dining table.

I have an entire list of off the cuff predictions I've made during this that have come true. I'm still waiting on Zero to become a paladin in the vein of Cecil Harvey. The statue seems to pretty obviously be of her so I assume she's going to paladin up at some point.

Just ran Voidcast Dais with @eorzea-etc.etheirys.social. On the plus side, my joking comment about "obviously Chekov's Dragon is going in Chekov's Zodiark pit to give us Zodiark Dragon" was proven true and thus I remain always correct. On the minus side...evil moon's haunted.

Urianger stands in Bestways Burrow, addressing two Warriors of Light - Tsetseg Qalli (a xaela with dark blue scales and grey-blue skin with a shaggy, dark-red wolf cut, and a streak of red paint across her eyes, in red and white armor) and Tala Terncliff (a pale-skinned white-scaled raen with white hair dotted with small flowers and black ribbons, and piercing blue eyes, wearing a white button down shirt, black vest and black slacks). Both hold guns. Tsetseg's gun is pointed upward while Tala has hers held out in front of her.

A Textbox in the bottom left reads:
Urianger: Ah, thou art returned, and with greater alacrity than hadst I hereof anticipated

WoL: Evil moon’s haunted.

Urianger: Forsooth?

WoL: *loading a pistol and getting back on Vrtra* Evil moon’s haunted.

The answer to this is "pretty fucking cursed". Tala and Ardbert are not meant to paletteswap (bonus - also job-swapped for the bit). They definitely need to stick to their own palettes. (White-haired Ardbert isn't real. White-haired Ardbert can't hurt you.) #wolqotd

Tala Terncliff (a white-scaled, white-haired female raen holding aloft a glowing blue sword and looking determined) and Ardbert Hylfyst (a brown-haired midlander with a beard, resting an axe on his shoulder and smiling contentedly) pose together in a field of pink and white flowers.

The same individuals pose again, however this time their palettes and weapons have been swapped; Ardbert has white hair, white armour and a glowing sword, and Tala brown hair, dark armour and a big axe.

much from the jump. So that is always going to be a layer of their relationship because his creation of an empire designed to fail caused real, tangible suffering for her and for many others. Okay, there. Done for real. I did consider taking this to 14 parts for poetic reasons, but no. [13/13]

because she is not able to entirely divorce her feelings about Emet-Selch from her feelings about Garlemald and the oppression it has wrought on the people who suffered under its rule. The fact that he is the architect of the Garlean Empire has absolutely colored her perception of him pretty [12/13]

100 1

Eorzea Adventures @eorzea-et-al.etheirys.social · 23/02/2025

J/K there's another part to this. There is also the fact that, as a member of the Raen diaspora and someone who was born and raised in Terncliff (hence the chosen surname), Tala suffered keenly under Garlean imperialism and so that adds a whole other level of complexity to their dynamic [11/12]

100 1

Eorzea Adventures @eorzea-et-al.etheirys.social · 23/02/2025

suffer more than necessary. At the end of the day, he is one of the most important people in the world to her and she loves him and hates him and all of that is a lot to feel about one person. Also she thinks he should maybe take a nap because he's so tightly wound. [10/10]

100 1

Eorzea Adventures @eorzea-et-al.etheirys.social · 23/02/2025

worst part is there is absolutely no way to know. They can't go back and they can't change the past and they were always going to end up here. They can't reclaim the past and they can't really build a future and they're essentially stuck in this sort of purgatory that is causing them both to [9/10]

about putting an end to the Final Days, because there is a part of her that wonders if they could have fixed things thousands of years ago if they had just trusted each other and not let their differences get the best of them or if she had to become who she is now to facilitate that. And the [8/?]

100 1

Eorzea Adventures @eorzea-et-al.etheirys.social · 23/02/2025

Honestly, it's deeply unfair that those two have to be connected to each other. Can she please get a refund on that. But despite all those things, she cares about Emet-Selch immensely and feels an incredible amount of guilt and grief about killing him. She also feels incredibly conflicted [7/?]

100 1

Eorzea Adventures @eorzea-et-al.etheirys.social · 23/02/2025

There's also the Zenos of it all. Her feelings about Emet-Selch have gotten really messily tied up in her feelings about Zenos. Zenos is her nemesis and also the person who possibly understands her better than anyone else. So knowing he's Emet-Selch's great-grandson really just pisses her off. [6/?]

100 1

Eorzea Adventures @eorzea-et-al.etheirys.social · 23/02/2025

Hytholdaeus definitely helps her to get it. Because look, she thinks maybe she'd also burn down *a* world for that guy. He's pretty great. But still, no. She will absolutely talk shit though. She calls New Amaurot his "dramatic grief diorama" because sometimes she's kind of a jerk. [5/?]

110 1

Eorzea Adventures @eorzea-et-al.etheirys.social · 23/02/2025

So she absolutely gets Emet-Selch. She just also thinks maybe you don't burn down the fourteen worlds in the hopes of assuaging your grief. They argue relentlessly and push each other's buttons like nobody's business. Her feelings have softened somewhat since Elpis. Knowing him there, and also [4/?]

herself in Ishgard. She is very aware that building a white house with a blue roof specifically as a reminder of a home she no longer has that has - of holding on too tightly to pieces of people she lost and letting them shape her fundamentally - are not necessarily healthy coping mechanisms [3/?]

100 1

Eorzea Adventures @eorzea-et-al.etheirys.social · 23/02/2025

Tala is always going to be held up to the specter of Azem and found wanting. Lesser. She also fundamentally *understands* him. She fully gets holding on so tightly to the past you've lost. Tala's history with Werlyt has shaped her and elements of that are reflected in the home she built for [2/?]

100 1

Eorzea Adventures @eorzea-et-al.etheirys.social · 23/02/2025

☄️Oh boy...this is a complicated one. Tala has intensely conflicted feelings about Emet-Selch. This will probaby take several comments. There is, first and foremost, a lot of confusion there. There is also a degree of resentment because who she is, as she is, will never be enough for him. [1/?]

Eorzea Adventures @eorzea-et-al.etheirys.social · 19/02/2025

It's complicated. Ardbert continues on in an incorporeal capacity, attached to Tala, similar to his state in Shadowbringers. He DID become corporeal while they were in Elpis, and then went back to being incorporeal after. It is very messy, but she is happy with her ghost boyfriend.

☄️ Boy has Tala had a complicated string of tragic WoL-ships. First was Haurchefant, until the vault happened. Then she had some complicated feelings about her ongoing nemesis-ship with Zenos. And finally there is her matched set, do not separate, Ardbert (as portrayed by @eorzea-etc.bsky.social).
