Last week, I joined other public school parents at a hearing to speak out against mayoral control of our public schools. Budget cuts are our mayor’s No. 1 priority. So why does he have near-total power over our public schools? I say it’s time to give the power to the parents!

I'm honored to be endorsed by 8(!!!) socialist state legislators today. They've fought tirelessly against austerity in Albany, and when there are 11 of us up there, we’re going to win some historic victories for working NYers! Donate to help us build the bloc: secure.actblue.com/donate/eon-f...

Had a great time with the Kosciuszko Block Association holiday party yesterday. It included a toy giveaway for the kids, hot chocolate, and even a visit from Santa! 🎄❄️ From the North Pole to Nostrand Avenue, I’ll always show up (and spread joy) for my community.

Every day, working-class families like yours and mine, who make Bed-Stuy and Crown Heights the vibrant, artistic and beautiful communities they are, are being priced out, and watching as schools and life-saving services are gutted to benefit billionaire profits.
