Update about what's to come for me in the upcoming summer 😢 IDK what is going to happen to me... but I wanted to let you know just in case

Hey people, sorry for the lack of proper updates after Ibercon!

A lot of things have happened since the last long update. I've been waiting to see if I could have a moment of respite to write things calmly, but sadly it's not going to be the case. So instead of prolonging the update, I prefer to finally write it.

My lats update revolved around me attending Ibercon, so let me start with that. I had a blast meeting friends that I'd never had the chance to meet in person before, and I also met new people. As you could see in my pictures and sticker album posted in my channel. I was very anxious of how my body would respond to my first long trip to a totally new area, and even though we had very big issues with the hotel (our room's bathroom wasn't accessible at all), I'm very proud on how we managed all the problems. This did affect us in terms of not being able to go to lot of scheduled events and meetings we wanted to go, but the people made it worth it. And I spent two hours in the dealer's den buying and talking to almost everyone <3

Hopefully, next year is going to be better. I'll try to help make the next Ibercon more accessible whenever I have time and when my health allows me to. Fingers crossed.

And welp, after Ibercon passed... I suffered a big concrud. Almost the entirety of May I had a sore throat, a persistent cough and lots of mucus. Luckily I only had a mild fever for the first few days, and I had all the meds to endure the concrud from the beginning.

Alongside with the concrud, the rest of bad things started to happen slowly.

In my previous update, I mentioned that it wasn't clear what was going to happen in my job. They gave me vacations, but after finishing them, my company fired me. The excuse was that with the increase usage of AI, they made a "restructuring" of employees and my position was no longer needed.

I was prepared for that scenario and contacted my lawyer. We're going to argue in the courts that this was a wrongful termination since they fired me right as I was supposed to reincorporate after a long medical leave. And they even lied about my vacations. Also had to handle some bureaucracy in order to get my unemployment benefits. My idea being to wait for 7 more months until I can apply for a disability pension. This would also help me finally have the income to hire a personal assistant for my disability necessities, while helping pay the house.

And when I thought I had sorted things out for the next few months and I could start working on my personal projects... The worst happened.

For context, about three years ago, our landlord made it clear that he wanted my parents, Iana and I out of the apartment he was renting us. Though at the moment he didn't do anything, the intention was clear. I searched for rentals so my parents could start looking out for a new place calmly. Sadly (and angrily), my efforts were largely ignored by my parents.

Just a few days ago, we were notified that the lease for the flat where we have been living for 20+ years is gonna forcefully end by the end of this month, and we need to leave it by then.

Obviously this sucks majorly, with the added complication that we now need to find a new FULLY ACCESSIBLE house in less than a month. Also, during the moving and dis/assembly part, the house will be unlivable, so this would practically force Iana & I to live at our home of Seville, fully. No weekends, no holidays, just us enduring an unknown number of days on our own for the first time ever. Having to pay private helpers right after I lost my job and main income.

There are still many moving parts. There are still things to negotiate, but overall the worst case scenario is us having to endure a really hard summer. We'll see... I'm very afraid of how my health could deteriorate, and I don't want to even think about the monetary issues... All while my parents don't give a single fuck about my well-being or my opinion on the matter.

I apologize to everyone who wanted to commission me and have to still wait until I open them again u.u
