I've seen many advert items as "Indian made" (creator is from India) and "native Indian made" (native Indian as in born in India). the dreamcatcher and leather work items I bought on Etsy actually shipped from India. The quality was nice for mass market Indian/made in India goods.

it feels like complaints are limited to a subset of English monolingual accounts. though it's impossible to tell if problematic content only targets north Americans or not. given the regulatory environment, I could see that being a possibility.

their algorithms fine tune my interests very well. for years, I have yet to see anything that could remotely be considered conservative, problematic, or political (in either direction).

99% of the non English social media space are on Twitter. And for those that post in English, the volume of artists, events, useful content, and commissions can't be matched elsewhere. my feed shows me content that is exclusively artists, furry, gay, muscle, or engineering.

now, using the same tools that were proven to work and cause events and people to cut ties are actively used against individuals' interests impacting huge swathes of fur. replace nazifurs with babyfur, kink, pup, latex, ... and copy/paste. we've shown its effective to destroy communities and lives

At one time, nazifurs just were. The vast majority were harmless and generally decent people. from before 1990 to 2010 they were mostly ignored. the zero tolerance, doxxing, campaigning to ban and remove online and off showed how to effectively do so for any interest of someone unliked/spited.

the hard part of that, is that paying online via a card at Best only proves parental consent. Plenty of people have cards by age 12/13. I was 12 and confirming access to adult sites by a $1 card charge. Also taught the value of learning to identify sketchy sites and places NOT to use your card.

the default setting is effectively "hide all posts from users in other countries". eg if a user's UI language isn't English, their posts (even if in English) by default are hidden from users with an English UI. users have to explicitly enable viewing posts from users using a different language

what does "former mutual" mean here? you cut off contact, they don't know why, so sat nearby to see if it's in their head, and give you opportunity to say something? they're high context, infrequently initiate contact, and think nothing's wrong; but you think they hate you and cut off contact?

PayPal will close accounts of users who have bought adult goods. They ask if you have ever bought such good and how often. I really didn't want to risk my account being closed because they see I bought adult furry art commissions.

PayPal has me on a 10 transaction per month limit. Paying in full once means a) I don't accidentally run out of transactions and can't pay the remainder until the following month. And b) don't needlessly use up an extra transaction for the month
