He folded his arms while listening to the plan. "And you need me for what exactly? It seems like you have it all figured out, unless I'm missing something." "Besides, you're talking to envy's chosen. What says I won't just take everything once we're all in the clear?"

"Good, I was going to ask for details. Care to enlighten me what it is you need?"

"Tempting, but if you paid attention to the things I've been stealing you'll notice a pattern. Powerful, magical artifacts."

"And so you came looking for me? I'm flattered, if a bit curious what's in it for me."

🌿Do it naked would increase Karro's likelihood of saying yes. 👀

000

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

🌿And Karro was so ready to offer him a neck to bite. Ooooooh well.

🌿You say a guy smells like wet dog once!

The feline had stepped over to Adam with his arms open wide. He lifted the werewolf off his feet and spun around in a small circle.

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

He rolled his own eye in response. "If you promise to stop being whiny, I'll apologize and give you the hug you had wanted, but I'm only doing it once..."

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

"No, I do not clean myself with my tongue..."

020

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

"Good. I didn't wanted one anyway, and I'm not assuming anything. I'm just using my past interactions as reference."

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Laughing softly, Karro finished off his plate, placing it down in front of him. "It's nice to know you're already planning on seeing me again." He sat up from his leaning position, reaching over the table to wipe away crumbs from Esme's cheek, totally not using it as an opportunity to touch him.

000

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

"I get up to enough nasty business, the least I can do is be polite to others." Karro's plate had mostly held meats and bread. "Thank you, my dear. It isn't my best work, but I am happy you enjoy it."

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

"I'd rather have a happy werewolf than deal with you becoming annoyed and trying to eat me. I have enough danger in my day to day." Karro looked unamused by the smug attitude. "And yet you still smell of wet dog."

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Karro was observing Esme, not out of judgment, but genuine curiosity. "Well, my father did raise me to have the bare minimum of manners." He definitely had Karro's attention, something the feline wasn't be subtle about in the slightest.

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

He took playful bow before sitting in front of him, smirking and swaying his tail. "Of course, I'd never think to make you eat without company." Kicking his feet up on the table away from Esme, Karro began to pile food on his plate.

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

"Well, yes I did. I'm actually a rather good cook." He had presented Esme with platter full of breakfast foods. Eggs seasoned with herbs, pub potatoes, bacon, ham, and even freshly baked bread. "The cook on my old ship wasn't exactly good at his job, so I got creative and learned..."

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

"You're very persistent about getting a hug from me... Fine. Just at least bathe first."

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

"And stink of foul smelling dog? I think not."

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

He pressed his advance closer tp him, his lips now inches away from Esme's. "You're beautiful~" Esme was very correct. He was incredibly forward.

000

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Karro stopped walking, turned to Esme, and lowered himself to be eye level with him. He leaned in, inches from his face. "Lle naa vanima~" His tone was flirtous and carried his purring within every word.

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

"Not technically no, all of my magic was gifted to me. I just study it as a concept... Not exactly practice it." He took a moment to recount his known languages, but eventually smiled before rattling some off. "Sylvan, Aquan, and elvish are currently my most studied."

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Karro went silent for a moment, he was honestly considering lying. "I study occult magic and old languages as a hobby, my income comes from piracy." Turns out he couldn't bring himself to do it.

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

He kissed his hand once again. Beginning their journey to the ball shortly after. "I am with people I enjoy the company of. Like I said, I'm a liar." Where Esme was flustered, Karro was cool and collected, radiating smugness. "So... What is it you do, Esme? Besides making suits."

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

"If I raid your ship. You should feel complimented and say thank you. You're worth being robbed by a professional."

020

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Karro walks around Esme, taking in every detail of his suit, he stopped behind him, taking him by the hand and spinning him around like a dancer. "No such thing as too flashy, dear." He dipped him then helped him back up onto his feet. "Though I think they'd look better at the foot of my bed."

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

He raised a brow and looked down at himself. "My dear, my fur doesn't hide anything..."

010

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

"I am a liar about many things, but I'd never tell one so cruel." He leaned in to Esme's shoulder, now whispering in his ear. "I expect to see you back here in a few minutes with a suit on. I plan on spoiling you at that ball tonight~" He pulled away, running a claw under Esme's chin.

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

"You didn't seem to mind my fur only a few hours ago. Cold autumn nights seem a lot less freezing when your partner can keep you warm, don't they?"

110

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

"And you presume I would fit in such a place because I was invited?" He laughed softly, leaning in closely, a loud rumbling pur coming from him while he just stares. "Looks, and a sense of humor. You certainly are a man with many good qualities."

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

"Hm, I suppose you wouldn't be interested in accompanying me to a little ball hosted by some pompous nobles than?" He reached forward, coiling Esme's long stray hair around his finger. "A shame if that's the case. I think you'd fill a suit rather nicely."

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

"Esme..." He let the name sit for a moment, flashing him another grin as he returned to his full height. His sway tail showing his interest. "It's a lovely name, and one I enjoy saying. Tell me, Esme. Do you know how to dance by chance?"

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

"I do try my best, my dear." Karro grinned, his single eye moving up and down Esme's body. He released his hand and offered a small bow as greeting. "My name is Karro. It's a pleasure to meet you."

100

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

"They're cruel to me though. They torture me for my smallest failures, or sometimes just for the fun of it." He took a moment, touching his eyepatch, his hand was lightly trembling as he seemed to stare off into nothing before pushing it down and returning to the moment. "They are my mistake."

010

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

There was a moment of silent rage on his face, bitter hatred that looked like it had been built up for years, but he quickly softened, knowing Yana was not the reason for his situation. "The Leviathan owns my soul. They gave me this ship, my magic, my- everything." He went quiet for a moment.

110

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

He gripped her shoulders and started down, blank, cold. His face twitched before finally asking. "How do you know them?" The question felt almost like an accusation.

010

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

He kissed her back, resting his hand on her jaw before running a claw under her chin as she stepped away to dry herself and change. The question she had asked made his entire body stiffened amd freeze, and the further questions had only made it worse. Without a word he ran to her.

110

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

"I've seen countless jewels praised by hundreds for their beauty. This view beats them all, no contest."

000

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Moving her hand to the side of his neck, he let her fingers trace through his fur to feel... a set of gils hidden underneath his brown coat. "You have no reason to hide anything from me, dear. I've made mistakes and carry similar burdens because of them."

010

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

At first he had been admiring her figure as he always had when they were alone, but upon seeing her scales his gaze returned to her face, not disgust, but concern in his eye. He remained silent while she explained, nodding his head and stepping close to her. He had taken her hand into his own.

110

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

He say the motions to hide away her leg, and he would ask about it, but not yet. For now he just wanted to make sure she had been alright. He sighed softly, picking her up bridle style as he stood to his feet. "Let's get you back on the ship, after we'll talk about teaching you how to swim."

010

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Karro at sat at the very tip of his ship's figurehead looking out onto the waves as the massive galleon had sailed itself through them, the stars and moon being the only source of light around him. "Cruel and cold, like winds on the seas. Will you ever return to me?~🎶"

000

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

He flicked the water off himself and held Yana closely in his arms. "You alright, dear?" He spoke in a hushed tone, not wanting to overwhelm her by being too loud right after she had nearly drowned.

010

🖤𝕶𝖆𝖗𝖗𝖔🖤 @envysenvoy.bsky.social · 04/10/2026

Seeing Yana slip beneath the docks, Karro had leaped from the deck of his ship and into the water below. The sea salt water had burned his eye while he searched for her, but he had eventually found her under the water, grabbing her by the back of her collar he swam back to shore.
