True beauty is always natural and not only tied to appearance, but to the spirit and authenticity that shine through.

What an incredible turnout in support of Palestine 🇵🇸 Right around Australia, people marched through their cities and towns in huge numbers. People from all walks of life gathered together, united for Palestine! The depraved inhumanity of genocide cannot be ignored! #sanctionisrael

I love the contrast that can be achieved through working with direct sunlight. The way it interacts with human skin is stunning, capturing the reflective and detailed nature of our largest organ. This photo of Rose evaded me for months but it is one of my favourite nude portraits of her.

There are positives and negatives to both the summer and winter solstice. I love the long, light days of summer and the warmth but winter provides a different light, free from the intense, damaging UV rays that radiate and harm our skin.

A nude portrait of a young woman with dark, shoulder length hair in, black and white. Posed standing and side on to the viewer, her body faces into the light creating highlights along her front and shadow down her back. Her closed eye gaze is directly towards camera, slightly to the right. Her upright, strong pose has her chest slightly pressed out, shoulders back and has her viewer-facing hand on hip, creating a triangle with her arm, through her elbow to shoulder. Her other arm rests by her side, mostly obscured from view. Her legs are straight but due to her side on position her front leg is fully visible while the furthest is mostly obscured but providing stability by a slight positioning to her rear, making the heel visible. Clear blue sky which is darkened by the black and white edit contrasts the light reflected by her skin as she stands atop a rocky platform beneath her feet. Shadowy trees in the background break up the lighter sky to the left of frame and along the lower 3rd of the frame. The frame is in portrait orientation and the woman fills the full height of the frame, but only occupies the middle most left hand quarter of the horizontal frame.

I recently decided to try appeal the various inaccurate content labels that had been wrongfully applied to my account and posts. It’s with relief that both my account and posts are now all labeled as non-sexual nudity (artistic), as they should be. That’s progressive and democratic social media!

Memories of two years ago with Kaysea. This image was a hidden gem! I left it predominantly natural, with minimal editing. Instability in the world is something none of us needs. End the invasion of Ukraine and the Genocide of Palestine. These stains on humanity can only bring us all down.

At f/1.4 I missed the focus on a bunch of photos. I can only imagine how much nicer it could have been but this moment is my fave of a bad bunch. It could be more out of focus and still be alright 😂 #nudeportrait #artnude #artisticnude #portrait #naturallight #photography #australia #melbourne

Some wonderful nude portraits in the Nude Portrait feed today! It's slowly growing and taking shape. A little moderation has to go into keeping the feed on topic but for the most part it is highlighting some great work within the genre. #nudeportrait

New Year, but same horrifically messed up and disgraceful world. The horrors of 2024 roll on despite the change of calendar. #newyear

I have had a presence on #Flickr since 2011! The past 6 have been as Environude! For now it remains my home where every shoot and photo can be found, free from censorship or missmoderation. This is my top performing photo from the past year. #nudeportrait #artnude #australia #melbourne #environude

Statistics accompanied by a photo of my top performing photo from the past year. The photo is of Kaysea, lying over a rock, arms stretched out above her head, hands interlocked, towards the viewer. Her right leg is slightly elevated showing her thigh and knee. Surrounded by nature the image is black and white, her body reflecting the light, contrasting the darkened surrounds.

I don’t use colour very often but as we unknowingly approached the Black Summer bushfire season of 2019/20 the day was scorching hot! Rose, Back to nature. 2019 #nudeportrait #artnude #artisticnude #portrait #naturallight #photography #australia #melbourne #nudeinnature #nudeartmodel #environude

A nude portrait of a female human sitting on a rock, curly red shoulder length hair. Body angled slightly to the right of camera, head and gaze directly towards the camera. Hands are resting on her knees as she sits upright, her legs bent and leading out of frame towards the bottom cut just below the knees.

I have created a few nude portraits that have influenced my passion for nude portrait photography. Some would argue that a subject must be looking down the lens at the viewer, I disagree! Kaysea, Back to nature. 2019

A monochrome nude portrait of a female human. In portrait orientation she is standing against a dark, empty sky, pose is side on to the camera facing right of camera and lit from right to left by directional natural sunlight creating contrast between highlights across the front of her body and shadows across her back. Her head and gaze is angled towards the camera, slightly to the right of camera, eyes closed. Leg closest to the camera is straight, in line with her torso, her open hand placed by her side on the upper thigh. The other leg is stepped slightly forward, towards the light, her left hand placed on the front of her upper thigh

The frame begins just above her head and ends just above her knees with negative space in front and behind her.

As a photographer, I’m not a fan of this feature and the inability to disable the direct downloading of images by other people. It was present on twitter and remains here. It is a deterrent to posting photography. #copyright #intelectualproperty #nudeart #artnude #photography #australia

I’m seeing #artisticnude and #nudeart work being moderated as #adult and #sexuallyexplict This sees the two clash and disappear or appear under the same #moderationfilters when the two are on opposite ends of the spectrum. @safety.bsky.app
