post-rise, and after getting punched down and placed on bread pans for its second rise. putting it in the oven at low heat with the door open worked very well

A chart of the concept outlined above.
A dwarf and a human produce an infertile half-dwarf every time, regardless of who's the mother. This also goes for dwarves and elves producing dwelves.
A dwarf mother and goblin father produces a knife-eared dwarf, which can have offspring with dwarves, each offspring having a 25% chance to be another knife-eared dwarf (otherwise being a normal dwarf). This system also applies to half-elves, though they can produce offspring with specifically the species of their mother.
Humans and goblins produce orcs, which can interbreed with each other to produce more orcs. Orcs can also produce offspring with an orc mother and human father, making infertile half-orcs.
Elves and goblins produce dark elves, which can interbreed to make more dark elves, and produce offspring with either parent species with a 25% chance for children to be more dark elves.
Goblin mothers with dwarf fathers produce redcaps, which can produce offspring with goblins in the same way as others with no special further hybrid behavior.

working on personal chambers for my kobolds finally. i like waiting until i reach the first layer of the caverns and putting them in the walls down there, lots of twisty corridors connecting them together, because i like how it looks :)

Mining plans in the game Dwarf Fortress. The plans go up against the edges of the first cavern layer, and consist of a number of rooms interconnected by winding corridors.
