Atlantic Salmon (Salmo salar) running in the upper River Mulkear yesterday. These fish are on their upstream spawning migration and are among the first to reach this part of the river this season. This stretch of river forms part of the Lower River Shannon SAC, where Atlantic Salmon is a QI.
