Men can be a work in progress & still have dangerous skeletons they haven’t addressed. Men can claim to be safe while still being in cahoots with/enabling unsafe men.

And, even beyond that, check every man you are in proximity to who is upholding r*pe culture, misogyny & patriarchal norms (which, by the way, impacts men as well — though the bulk of harm is disproportionately experienced by women & children).

We need to talk more about how being in any kind of spiritual or spiritual adjacent role leads to dealing with people’s shame projections, religious traumas & distorted programming re: faith. You unintentionally become a mirror for all of that — & there’s a medicine in this, too.
