yihn's interest in death has led him to research necromancy, the thirteenth, and, eventually, garlean reaper history. he's successfully made a pact with a voidsent, though their relationship is a little fraught. his pact also resulted in losing his arm, which has been replaced by a void-infused one.

his belief in this is dubious, as he doesn't believe in azeyma. he's part of a small, esoteric ul'dahn cult that worships thal, to which he's incredibly devout (hence his face paint, a blend of ceremonial bone ash he applies daily), though his belief in this, too, is beginning to wane.

yihn's condition manifests mostly in chronic pain and fatigue. his aether is unaffected; in fact he's got a DEEP storage of aether, which is helpful for his necromancy experimentations. he's been told he was born dead and brought back to life through his mother's fervent prayers to azeyma.

my darling basch has been out of commission due to a pinched nerve, which is awful, but her hardship has led me to consider a char of mine who deals with chronic pain, yihn. he's generally Sickly, undiagnosed symptoms disorder. anemic, underweight, glass bones and paper skin type of guy.
