With all the grocery produce/greens issues these days, it’s nice to have a backyard garden to enjoy fresh, healthy dishes in the summer months. In fact, I just learned you can eat the (vitamin rich) radish greens as part of a salad. #gardening 📸: mine
Fresh-picked vegetables from my garden include radishes, and red and green peppers ready to be cut up for a summer salad. Chopped radish greens and romaine lettuce serve as a base for a bowl of summer salad made from tomatoes, red and green peppers and sliced radishes (all from my garden) with an extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette dressing. (The Kalamata olives in the salad center are, however, imported from Greece.)
