TRUE - #OpenResearchEurope will automatically upload your work on #ZENODO. You're not required to publish in it but the advantage is that it guarantees compliancy with #OpenAccess requirements and removes the step of self-archiving on a trusted repository - @openaire.bsky.social bit.ly/43W7udq

TRUE & FALSE - trick question, you do have to submit a DMP but by M6. So start writing your DMP from the start of your project, don't underestimate the time it takes, especially getting information from all the different partners - @openaire.bsky.social webinar bit.ly/43W7udq

FALSE - one of the valid justification for not opening your data is if you produce commercially valuable data and opening it would undermine its exploitation or other results (e.g. endanger trade-secrets), or make IP protection of results more difficult - @openaire.bsky.social webinar bit.ly/43W7udq

FALSE - most publishers' platform aren't considered as a trusted repository or follow all the FAIR principles to make data available (e.g. DOI, licence, metadata standards). Make sure to always upload on a compliant repository (e.g. Zenodo), even if you shared it elsewhere

For PsyArXiv just remember it's a preprint server so make sure you update your manuscript to one of the peer-reviewed version after it's published

FALSE - The requirement to make your publications available in OA only applies to peer-reviewed work. You do not have to deposit on a repository, but it is strongly recommended so your work is as visible and accessible as possible - @openaire.bsky.social webinar bit.ly/43W7udq

TRUE - #MSCA projects differ from the Horizon Europe policy in that APCs/BPCs can be covered under the grant. There are no restrictions in where you can publish and which OA costs can be covered - @openaire.bsky.social webinar bit.ly/43W7udq - #OpenAccess

000

Jonathan England @englandjonathan.bsky.social · 17/06/2025

You do however, whatever the venue, need to make the Author Accepted Manuscript (AAM) and/or the Version of Record (VoR) available in #OpenAccess on a trusted repository immediately upon publication, with a #CCBY licence applied

Manuscript versions in the publishing cycle: the draft at submission is called the pre-print; next is the peer-reviewing process with cycles of revisions; the accepted version for publication is called the Author Accepted Manuscript (or postprint); the publisher does the copy-editing and type-setting; at the time of publication this last version is called the Version of Record

000

Jonathan England @englandjonathan.bsky.social · 17/06/2025

FALSE - there are no restrictions set by #HorizonEU as to where you can publish. That includes hybrid or closed journals. The only restriction is financial, your grant only covers costs in full-OA. APCs in hybrids will have to be covered independently - @openaire.bsky.social webinar bit.ly/43W7udq
