Lucky you. Stripe is just acting stupid. They ask for more and more personal information after I already provided everything they initially asked for. I am sick of it. I will close my Bandcamp account, soon.

Engineeer @engineeermusic.bsky.social · 10/10/2025

@bandcamp.com I decided that I'll close my Bandcamp account as soon you are switching over to Stripe. Stripe is trying to gobble-up way to much personal information. I provided Real ID, selfie etc., but it's no enough for them. Who knows what stripe will do with my personal data? Screw it!

020

Engineeer @engineeermusic.bsky.social · 07/10/2025

@bandcamp.com It's a pain in the butt to activate and verify my Stripe account. Their support isn't helpful at all. It's a bad idea to switch to Stripe in general. I probably have to leave Bandcamp for good, if the switch is completed and my Stripe account still doesn't work.

Pretty much all sound design tutorials trying to replicate the TB-303 in a patch fail. Some may cover a fraction of the TB-303s capabilities at best. That's why there are highly specialized emulations and clones. Why don't you show how to use the right tools for the job?

Engineeer @engineeermusic.bsky.social · 03/03/2025

Yes. I saw that. 😍 So, I guess this will make up for that I didn't score Roland's free 303 plugin. #BitterSweet #303day

I don't know what's going on over on X besides that Elon turned it into a right-wing propaganda machine. I am German and based in the US. I stopped using X a while ago for obvious reasons.

Trigger the JC-303 with M4L TBseq and do not blend the waveforms. It should sound a bit better better then. Still, the commercial emulations are much better, either in sound or usability - or both. I primary use ABL3 followed by Phoscyon 2 when I do not use hardware clones.

Engineeer @engineeermusic.bsky.social · 03/03/2025

Very cool! 🙂 Do you use an EMX-1 with it? 🎛️ The sound reminds me of the YouTube videos by Denkitribe, which made fall in love with and later on buy the EMX-1.

Love this track. I had the CD, back in the days. Josh Wink's music has definitively an influence on the tracks I make.

Engineeer @engineeermusic.bsky.social · 03/03/2025

I recommend to use specialized VSTs like ABL3, Phoscyon 2, Roland Cloud TB-303 or Acid V if you want a sound closer to the original. There are also some free ones you may try: Bass Matrix, Venom VB-303, JC-303.

"Raumgleiter" is an #AcidTrance track, where I used the Venom VB-303 by Anton Savov. It's a good sounding free #TB-303 emulation. Though, discontinued and only available as 32 bit Windows VST. Not owning an original TB-303, but aren't there sophisticated MIDI mods, which allow you to program attack by using maximum velocity as well as slides by overlapping notes? Most clones I used so far support this. Though, I can imagine that sync boxes and early mods are probably lack these features.

Engineeer @engineeermusic.bsky.social · 24/01/2025

"On Safari" by Owsley is a brilliant Acid Track. I wonder if a modded TB-303 or clone has been used for this track. In parts it sounds quite different to a stock 303. 🤔 This track is available through Bandcamp: owsley-c20h25n3o.bandcamp.com/track/on-saf... #AcidHouse #TB303 #Acid @bandcamp.com
