Big Walk is so good so far
My POV in the co-op game Big Walk. I can see a red, somewhat humanoid character sitting in a chair lift next to me, holding a walker talkie. The character has large eyes and no mouth. We are riding over a tree and rock filled valley with the sun setting over the ocean in the distance.

About a month ago I got a newsletter from The Capitol Ledger, which was exactly this but in Connecticut. It was unsolicited and I unsubscribed immediately once I realized what it was

So I started and finished Emily is Away, after accidentally playing the third game in the trilogy (I didn’t realize!) and it felt just as awkward and sad as I remember my early 20s were. 10/10 would choose emo song lyrics as an away message again
A screenshot from the game “Emily is Away.” It is a window in the style of AOL Instant Messenger, with a record of the conversation at the top of the screen and a box to type responses at the bottom. The player, username dontpanicx3, is talking with Emily, whose username is emerly35. It’s a long story, but the player and Emily hooked up awhile ago, and there are unresolved feelings, but the conversation has run its course and the only options to respond are “goodbye.”

No I mean he sent me a literal book.
A hand-written letter on official stationary from Congressman Jim Himes, dated May 17, 2025. It says “Nikki, This is one of the best books I’ve ever read on how we Democrats should communicate better. Hope you enjoy! Jim”The book I was mailed from Rep. Himes. It is “The Political Brain” by Drew Weston. The cover has a faux Rorschach test meant to look like silhouettes of an elephant and a donkey.

Here’s the chickenshit response from Rep. Jim Himes (D+13): #NutmegSky
A screenshot from Facebook on 3/6, Rep. Jim Himes:

“In 2009, I voted to hold Congressman Joe Wilson accountable for yelling "you lie" at President Obama during his State of the Union Address. Today, I voted to censure Congressman Al Green for a much larger disruption. Unlike my Republican colleagues and President Trump, I believe that rules, decorum, and accountability are important regardless of political party and beliefs. If we cannot stand on principle and act with the seriousness our nation deserves, our government will devolve further into the kindergarten it has already become.”

I used to spam my friends with their memes. I found my old texts from the first time I found their account on Twitter, in January 2022. What a pointless loss.
A screenshot of a text exchange:

“Do you still code ED admissions/ consumer product injuries?”

“This is what they are doing with the data”

The image is taken from the CPSC Twitter account. It is a cardinal on a snowy branch, wearing a poorly-Photoshopped top hat, with the text:

BIRD BEN
FRANKLIN
CPSC.gov
HAVE
COURAGE AND A
CLEAN DRYER LINT
FILTERA screenshot of two CPSC memes in a text exchange:

Top meme is of a man teleworking while his toaster is on fire on the background. Text reads “Always have a working fire extinguisher in your kitchenoffice.” And below it the man is saying into his headset:
“Hey Jess! Oh, you know. Just another day at the kitchenoffice... That sound? A small fire. Ha! Let me mute for a sec.”

Bottom meme is of a rabbit menacingly speaking with bicyclists on an outdoor trail. The rabbit is saying “LESS TALKING, MORE PEDALING, SON!” while one of the bicyclists is yelling “WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ME?!” Below that is text that reads: “Always wear a helmet when escaping from Suspiciously Large Rabbits on your bike.”A screenshot of a text exchange including a CPSC meme.

“This is the most unhinged Twitter account I've ever seen”

The meme depicts an open-mouthed shark wearing a red bow, bursting from a pile of wrapped Christmas gifts. The text reads: “SAFE GIFTS ONLY Follow age guidance and choose toys that match each child's interests and abilities. Get safety gear, including helmets, for scooters and other riding toys. Keep small balls and toys with small parts away from children younger than age 3 and keep deflated balloons away from children younger than age 8.”

Reply texts from my friend: “Lollll They’re wild I wish I had one of those jobs”

And my response: “I wish I got paid to make batshit memes all day”

Wow, thanks for the $8.83 after raising my car and homeowners insurance rates this year, USAA! I hope the difficult decisions you made to protect your financial strength didn’t negatively impact Wayne Peacock’s ~$8.1 million salary.
An email from Wayne Peacock, President & CEO of USAA, which reads in part: “In 1922, 25 Army Officers made a promise to insure one another’s cars when no one else would. More than a century later, USAA continues to keep that promise and take great care of military families. Thank you for continuing to place your trust in USAA. Your loyalty fuels our commitment to the mission and our motivation to serve with excellence.

Over the last few years, the challenging economic environment has increased the cost to repair and replace cars and homes. Last year we made the difficult decision to raise rates to protect our Association’s financial strength and ensure USAA remains ready to serve when you need us most. We understand any increase has an impact on your monthly budget. We continue working to reduce expenses and be more efficient in our operations to minimize the need for rate increases. Thank you for playing an active role in managing the Association’s risk by driving safely and taking preventative measures at your homes.

This year is shaping up to be much stronger financially, even with the impact of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, and you share in the Association’s success.

In December, $8.83 was applied as a credit to your auto and property insurance bill. You can view the distribution online or on your upcoming billing statement.”A screenshot from a news article, including a photo of Wayne Peacock, CEO of USAA. The text reads: “His compensation soared by about 69% last year: Peacock made at least $8.1 million in 2023, compared to his 2022 compensation of $4.8 million, according to the San Antonio Report.”
