I don't think Tiger or Wolf are the best H2H combatants among the IIs. But they easily have the most entertaining bouts. Like it you asked them who's better out of the two, wolf and tiger would swear the other was.

Though if picking from the original English dub I would have picked this scene from "Day of Wrath". ("we can protect each other" is so much more impactful and fitting for this scene and these characters than "I'll protect you", even if the latter is what the original JP line actually was)

Definitely is a bit of a stretch still, but more within the realm of SEED's standard wildness.

Tbh makes more sense (and what I assumed when I first watched) given how melted the cockpit was, like Kira would not be alive to be pulled out by the Astray guy if he was in there.

END @endgie.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

That one with the Atray guy is one of two explanations (from the pretty wacky "my OC was actually involved in most of the events of SEED" Astray manga). The other (from the the manga adaptation of SEED itself) was that Kira got out just in time and got behind the Strike to survive the blast.

Ah, forgot there were still Gundam shows on Netflix. I did check D+ (which is tied to my parent's Hulu sub), and oddly enough it didn't have the dub on the D+ side, despite other gundam shows having both on the D+ side.

Well if for some odd reason Bandai/CR chooses to pay for a Freedom redub that could at least be a reason for them to release a non-UHD version of it on blu-ray that more people have a player for. (also maybe actually include bonus features, like the subbed director interview that was in theaters)

So happy more people will be able to legally watch this dub! (who aren't crazy ebay deal hunters for old anime DVD's like myself)

Yeah, better dub aside, it's nice more people will be able to legally watch SEED without it feeling cramped from 4:3 footage cropped to 16:9 and see the original scenes without the HD redos or movie-cut chnages (Flay sex scene and removing Mu's damaged helmet started with the compilation movies).

Whoa, the Ocean Dub cast is coming back for Zero!?!?

34222

END @endgie.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Freedom to Freedom Zero will be a bit of a change up for sure (unless they for some reason are willing to pay to redub Freedom after the BD already came out for some reason), though Freedom did use Mu's Ocean VA, so at least that will stay consistent if this carries beyond the main 3.

000

END @endgie.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Though iirc the redub hasn't really been on streaming much if at all for the tv shows (though neither has the original dub), so as far as official availability both have been mostly locked to their original physical formats (dvd or bd), both of which have been out of print.
