The first time I visited the Pulse memorial, it was shortly after I had experienced a shooting scare at the Florida Mall. I spent hours walking around the building, reading messages of hurt and ache and support - and even hope.

So I learned that the National Park Service has erased Transgender people from the Stonewall National Monument website. How DARE you rewrite our history. How DARE you erase us from *OUR HISTORY.*

This is my favorite picture of Stonewall. They knew they were getting arrested just for being LGBTQ+. Yet... they're still here, standing outside of the boarded up Stonewall Inn, smiling as the world was at a fever pitch of hatred against them. I think about it a lot in moments like this.

All applications for gender marker change are on hold while the State Department changes this policy. Anyone who now submits an application for a change runs the risk of losing access to their passport and documents while their application is being processed.

The Trump Administration has released an Executive Order against Trans People. What I want to stress is that this is simply a request and a plan and doesn't by it self do anything substantial. I also have more questions than answers currently but we will find out more over the coming days.
