NEW FIC: it'd be you (I'd call my home) | E | 1/18 🌿 slow burn 🌿 not-just-sex work 🌿 healing together Gwen raises a perfectly shaped blonde eyebrow. “You’re smart, you’re compassionate, you’re beautiful, and—forgive me for saying so—you are clearly in need of a better job.” #reylofic #reylo

moodboard with images of Rey's face (determined), pale pink roses climbing a brick wall, overgrown stone steps in a garden, Kylo Ben's face (with scar, looking down like a sad boy), and bookshelves behind a pair of velvet chairs. at the bottom are the words it'd be you I'd call my home, by peculiar galaxies

Summary:
Fed up with working at TeedoMart, Rey surprises herself by accepting a job as a “domestic intimacy provider” to reclusive tech CEO Kylo Ren. She’s nervous about the job and all the intimacy it entails, but she needs the money to pay off student loans from the degree she didn’t even get to finish.

Ben Solo—known to the outside world as Kylo Ren, CEO of Dyad Energetics—hasn’t left his Chandrila estate in over a decade. On the advice of his therapist (sort of), he hires a young woman for companionship, though he’s braced for her to quit and run away the instant she sees his face.

Instead, two lonely souls find kinship, belonging, and the opportunity to heal together. If only their arrangement didn’t involve an eighty-page contract, a six-figure salary, and a potential expiration date....

ahhh ms camellia this is an incredible compliment 🥰 i’ve been most drawn to drawing people, and this is such an astute observation as to why - of course our lives are like constellations of connected stars!

i am alive, my wrist is just still injured, so i am over here going at a snail’s pace on most things ~ here is an ongoing wip because markers are easier on my hands right now #myart #copics #mixedmedia

two ballet dancers on the foreground of a stage. the woman has fallen gracefully into his arms, her hand is outstretched and she looks limp but she only looks that way, i am sure this actually takes incredible poise. the man holding her is Very Concerned. also his hand is in the wrong position, but i did not realize that when i sketched it in and now it has marker all over it so we’re just going to have to go with it okay. the scene is in shades of grey and the woman’s skirt is sheer

Another tiny canvas I finished on stream! Really like how this Rey vs. Kylo Ren duel turned out :3 I'm planning on making atleast 1 lightsaber duel scene from all 3 trilogies, I'm just a sucker for painting glow effects ok?! XD 7x7 cm canvas painted with acrylics #starwarsfanart #queerartist

A 7 by 7 cm canvas painted with the silhouettes of Rey and Kylo Ren rushing towards each other in a lightsaber fight

will I ever be able to get Daisy's face right? doubt it. It's her, but it's not her. but it passes. but it could be more accurate. but then, it's stylised and it's not supposed to be her cause it's supposed to be the character, but then again- anyway, WIP! :D I'm cooking.

Quote this post with the AO3 fic that you wish more people would read. Bloodroot & Sage Did I write most of this in one (1) day? Yes. Is it messy? Yeees? (I've been afraid to look) Did I hope to spin this into a novel & didn't due to poor readership? Also yes. archiveofourown.org/works/62765464

Something I think is kind of cool about Rey's parents names (I don't know if this was intentional or not) is Miramir might have been inspired by the Spanish/Portuguese term Miramar which means Ocean view...

Rey's Father and Mother, Dothan and Miramir.

Kylo Ren telling Rey "You imagine an Ocean" as he looks through her mind.
