This week we’ve been in Kotor 🇲🇪 organising an oil pollution response exercise with participants from the BCSEA II, SAFEMED V&IPA III projects. EMSA’s oil spill response vessel Kijac took part in the exercise, and equipment from the EMSA Equipment Assistance Stockpile in Varna 🇧🇬 was also deployed.

SARex 2026 put cross-border search and rescue cooperation into practice over the North Sea. Aircraft and vessels operated together in a simulated maritime emergency, testing coordination between coast guard authorities from 🇧🇪, 🇫🇷 & 🇳🇱 and 🇪🇺agencies. Part of the EMSA-led MMO MSNS 2026.
