IPM is a set of sustainable measures that can be used to monitor, prevent and control crop disease, and is a major alternative to pesticide use. We use STB in wheat as a case study to model growers' yield outcomes under IPM. Future work will look at profitability and adoption behaviour.

My first paper got published a couple of weeks ago! It's part of my PhD work on modelling Integrated Pest Management adoption. I've presented the work at a few conferences this summer; EFPP2025, a BES Symposium, BMC-BAMC2025 and most recently IDDconf 2025. doi.org/10.1371/journal.pcbi.1013352

❓ How effective may Integrated Pest Management controls be against Septoria (a damaging disease on UK winter wheat)? 📄 Our modelling study is now published in PLOS Computational Biology @plos.org 🔗: doi.org/10.1371/jour... 👇 For more on the study see a thread associated with an earlier preprint.

Nice presentation at #EFPP2025 by @uni-of-warwick.bsky.social PhD student @emrvincent.bsky.social! Very relevant work modelling the effectiveness of IPM for Septoria tritici and comparing with conventional fungicide control under different scenarios. Preprint: www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...
