Sorry. Wasn't trying to pry or be therapy or anything! I believe in you and I know you can do whatever you want to do, even if it's just tiny small steps at a time.

What do you WANT to be working on? It's okay to have comfort stuff and you sound like me, maybe mini-shaming myself for enjoying things I enjoy. I spend 90% of my days telling myself all the stuff I "should" be doing and it's rough.

Empty Bottle @emptybottleyt.bsky.social · 16/09/2026

I find it to be kind of a catch22, because if you were "doing the things" you wouldn't have the time to sit in your thoughts. I've struggled a LOT over the last few years, and only recently have I gotten better at doing the "just get started" thing but I can't always. Just takes repetition/routine

"It just has to work" is such a relief statement in a world where all the content creation we generally consume is filled with efficiency and perfectionism. I think lately we're all scared to do anything anymore.

@daryltalksgames.bsky.social Not sure how often you use bsky, but I watched your YOU/evil video and the stuff about finding humanity and forgiveness and redeemability...it made me think that Barry (HBO) would be a really enjoyable adventure. It's only 4 seasons. somewhat hollywood meta dark comedy

At first glance I didn't register this as Hello Kitty. I thought it was a weird creepy low-poly version of that Mime Pokemon and it was really spooky!

I'd say 50-60% of all my entertainment is watching gaming content and it definitely puts a weird lens on my own gaming. Especially hard in competitive games. I know this isn't the exact spirit of what you're saying, but it's nice to know we're not alone out there.

Is this about a video game character?

100

Empty Bottle @emptybottleyt.bsky.social · 11/01/2026

I'm sure it's not as rare as some other stuff that's comparatively priced, but I think this specific game is something that people generally don't want to part with, thus the supply of actual carts being for sale is low combined w/ "investors" hoarding them as "investments"

011

Empty Bottle @emptybottleyt.bsky.social · 04/01/2026

Ah yes, the classic case of an artist not realizing how good something they made was. Or the flip-side, mega humility. Both good traits in my book. Keep it up! Looking forward to seeing more stuff from you.

My go-to in this spot is to mark it 5 and then in the text say it's 4.2 or whatever. I feel like even that little "lie" counterbalances the absolute smashing they get from unwarranted 1 star ratings from people that would legit be giving 3's.
