thoughts on the new precure? — I love the designs! I'm not interested in the theme itself cause I just simply don't care for or watch idol shows but a lot of seasons don't have themes I care about and I still throughly enjoyed them so I have no doubt that I'll get neospring.org/+r/136162685...

Thinking about this again since Wonderful is almost over but the Pretty Cure fandom has this really weird hatred of Yoshimi Narita where they blame her for EVERYTHING and view anything she writes in the worst faith possible, even stuff that you wouldn't bat an eye at if it wasn't written by her

DLC now is mostly a lot of "We added stuff that should have been in the game anyway" Why is it not like "You can get a shirt :)"

Empress Blazy Mix @empressblazymix.bsky.social · 05/01/2025

Looking at Ultraman episode counts compared to Super Sentai and Kamen Rider ones is really fascinating cause the Toei ones, with a few exceptions, are all ~50 episodes and then Ultraman seasons can go from 13 to 26 to 39 to 52, it's so inconsistent but I find all if this interesting

010

Empress Blazy Mix @empressblazymix.bsky.social · 05/01/2025

I know why this is but it's kinda funny how a franchise called Kamen Rider barely acting shows those damn Kamens Riding anything

Empress Blazy Mix @empressblazymix.bsky.social · 04/01/2025

I love this photo of Ultraman and Gabora

041

Empress Blazy Mix @empressblazymix.bsky.social · 03/01/2025

I presume this is just cause it was the first one and he wasn't popular yet but the original Ultraman has surprisingly very little Ultraman in it, they focus a lot more on the monsters of the week rather than Ultraman himself, he only really shows up for 3 minutes at the end to beat up the monster

Watching Denkou Choujin Gridman before SSSS Gridman is like being served a pretty okay soup and then getting the greatest chicken you've ever had (I am glad I watched the original though It made me appreciate the new one a bit more than I would have had I never seen it)

Empress Blazy Mix @empressblazymix.bsky.social · 03/01/2025

Been watching Ultraman for the first time and I've grown rather attached to this thing he's awesome

I've seen a few people call Precure "toku heroes" and I don't get it It is an animated show, tokusatsu is just the way it is filmed, it's not a genre I know Pretty Cure takes influences from shows like Kamen Rider and especially Super Sentai but that doesn't make it toku
