I'm not that wise and thoughtful in my lottery fantasies. Honestly, all I'd really want to use it for is funding my comic so I can quit my dayjob.

You wrote a word? It's more than I managed: reimagining story beats in my head with the intention of putting it into script form tomorrow.

Wanted to share this fantastic panel peek by @quigleyer.bsky.social for "Empire of the Saurian: Mastering Chaos". Could #wuxia heroes and their qi mastery defeat ancient #dinosaurs like #Spinosaurus?

A lot of new ones or a lot of ones on discount? Trying to gauge how lavish this haul is.

I'm sure others somewhere have said this, but if anyone ever makes a film about the monsters behind this AI arms race, we need Matthew Rhys to play the Anthropic CEO.

That's actually really encouraging that other people do this. I thought I was just garbage at writing (half the time, I'm sure I am. But glad to know this is also just the process).

That's exactly how I charmed my wife when we were dating. I talked about nothing but theoretical dino fights.

Trying to do that through comics. Turns out it's *a lot* more social media than I thought.

Then, just for extra flavour, add "Plus", "Max" (or PlusMax) to it: "Fupu Plus". Then change it to just "Plus" or "Max. Then, when you realise that was a terrible idea, change it back. I know my ideal subscription service keeps me guessing and on my toes.

I actually felt that with Oscar Wilde's 'The Picture of Dorian Gray'. It's been years and I really should give it another go. But I remember feeling that it was written in such a pretentious way, I couldn't stand it.

Now I'm back on here, I want to properly introduce the fantastic artist behind the one-shot "Empire of the Saurian: Mastering Chaos": @quigleyer.bsky.social So excited to work together on this! Thanks for putting up with my nitpicking on dinos (I know, Spinos look really weird). #comics #dinosaurs

"Swift, 5-metre-long predators [...] hunted during months of darkness." So, basically, 100 million years ago it was cold and dark but otherwise Australia was pretty much the same.

I hope it is haha. Yes, the Land of Ten Thousand refers to the supercontinent on which this entire saga takes place. On it, there are 2 major empires, several warlord states, and a smattering of small towns, villages, and forgotten settlements.

Camp Cretaceous/Chaos Theory over JWR any day. The shows treat the dinos like *animals*, not wonders. Dinos are wonders, but I don't need to be told that so explicitly. The second up-close dino we got in JP was the sick Triceratops and Ellie Sattler was assessing it like a living creature.

That's right! It provides a bit of background on Cheng'en, one of the central protagonists in the main series. That main series will begin a couple of decades later, when she's a wise warrior sage and far more involved in the politics and battles across the Land of Ten Thousand (the series' setting)

I couldn't agree more about wuxia/dinos. Both one-shots aim to provide some insight or background into the world of Empire of the Saurian. So hopefully there isn't too much of a shift in tone between 'The Coming of the Warlords' and Empire of the Saurian.
