This paper affirms what many of us in #Georgia and across the #South know: barriers to care didn’t start with Dobbs, and neither did the need for #reproductive #healthcare support offered by organizations such as the M+A Hotline. (4/5)

The bottom line is this: our study demonstrates substantial and growing demand for medical support around navigating #miscarriage and #abortion in the United States, with people in restrictive environments more heavily relying on these support services. (3/5)

KEY FINDINGS: - 16,000+ people contacted the M+A Hotline from June 2021 to June 2023 - Contacts increased by 210% post-Dobbs, w/ steeper growth in states with abortion bans (~250% vs. ~150% in non-ban states) - Demand was rising faster in ban states (vs. non-ban states) BEFORE Dobbs (2/5)
