While I'll be reporting news again, I'll also be sending my photo albums & books to safer places, hoping they don't burn. Between reports, I will be running to shelters, carrying my documents & camera, while texting loved ones to know if they are still alive, & hoping to survive, too. 5/

As Kyiv suffers, I'm bracing myself to resume work, having had a few weeks of being (burnt-out) bombed daily without having to give a professional take on it in news bulletins. Ukraine is my home so I didn't want to leave for a few weeks - I'd have been too worried to have no flat to return to. 2/

The Ukrainian Army drone-delivered ~4 tons of food to occupied Oleshky's residents. ~2,000 Ukrainians remain there, incl. 50 children, with no access to food, water, electricity. The occupiers try to shoot down drones, take away/resell provisions. Locals can be detained/tortured for receiving aid.

I'm three quarters into that course, which I started over the summer. It gives a lot of insights into the Holodomor itself, Ukraine in the 1920s & 1930s, and shows the silence of foreign governments & attempts by Moscow to downplay the famine & its denials that collectivization went awfully wrong.
