Wasn’t this what Bluesky’s verifiable domain/username system, along with ATProto’s DID provisions, was supposed to solve in the first place? Not sure what I’m missing, but I can’t help feeling like the switch to the “blue checkmark” is a failure, and a bit of a cop-out, on Bluesky’s part.

i also noticed that tweets with links in them, or rather the quoted tweet in a quote tweet, isn't reflected in the sync. any idea what goes on here? (got a few ideas around sorting this out but the simplest is to just make it post a URL)
