Last week our Clinical Director Lauren and Peer Support Supervisor Amy presented on the Living Room model at the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless Annual Conference in Duluth! It was a great opportunity to connect with providers and spread the word about this resource.

Since opening in late 2024 the Living Room has had 163 visitors who would have otherwise gone to the hospital or called a crisis line... Only 3 of those visitors required hospitalization, and each were given a warm handoff, rather than having to sit for hours in a stressful emergency waiting room.

We're kicking off the 2026 Coat & Winter Gear Drive! The temperatures are starting to drop, and we want to get our clients and residents ready for when the cold arrives. While we primarily need donations of winter gear for adults, we're also seeking winter gear of all kinds and sizes for teenagers.

Last week we received a generous donation from Hamline Church Dining Hall of their leftover groceries from the State Fair! This included over 200 pounds of raw and cooked meat, over 150 pounds of cheese, 4 large boxes of bread and buns, 3 large boxes of apples, milk, chips, beets, garlic, and more.

Last week was Business Week at Emma's Place! On Monday the teens learned about entrepreneurship, teamed up, and came up with ideas for their businesses. On Tuesday they made plans and went shopping for supplies, on Wednesday they prepared their products, and Thursday was the Business Fair!
