Working on a stock trading game where profit and human loss are the same calculation. You start by optimizing markets. You end by optimizing death. Systems are all done but I am struggling with balancing the numbers and making it a horror game still needs a lot of work.

Made bunch of portraits for Deadstock - used stock videos and applied Node Machine from SynkitNET. Turned out to be super funky. Contracts are basically side quests from faceless rich people and institutions asking you to make the world worse. #indiegamedev #gamedev

I downscale my main camera to apply the dithered effect (create a render texture and upscale it to fullscreen) but my camera bounds stay downscaled (the pink area in the screenshot). Cursor is tied to the pink area so the mouse offset is off. 2025 started strong.
