In today's Walkies with Karie on the Aurora Lawrenceburg Trail Trail, we made it to the other side of the blue bridge (5.8 km).

From today's walk: I don't think these are the signs I was looking for, but maybe the second pic is?

Stop sign, yeild sign, railroad crossing sign

A spiral she'll and a conch like shell stuck together and sitting on the path

Today's walk included this...art? And a discussion about Zombies. I convinced karie it was ok to run and leave me to my fate, and we agreed that old Zombies should move slower than new zombies, so hopefully thats the kind we would run into.

Pink flip flop with a part if a blue pool noodle shoved into the toe with a brown potato looking sponge on top

This morning I finally made it out for my first walkies of the year with my sister. It was lovely, though I wasnt able to make it as far as I would have liked (still recovering from the shoulder replacement end of last year). But i did it. And I know my sister won't let me quit. :)

My love There is a vacant space in my heart where you used to be A vast darkness that threatens to consume me The ache of you seeps into Every Thing Black tendrils waiting to grasp at my every moment My world revolves around your Absence #poetry

This is a good one for today seeing as how it snowed, again. #poetry

Pining
I long for Spring.
When color returns
and days warm.

Through the window
the flowers' struggle
to push away the heavy weight of winter.

On the air is a promise
of bare toes gliding
through delicate blades of grass.

In the depths of Winter
no thought is spent on the relentless rain,
or the steady hum of flying pests.

Nor nights when the wind howls
and sirens scream in answer,
saying go to shelter.

Those annoyances, petty distractions,
lay forgotten under the layers of white,
endless cold, ice, and snow.

EmilyRose3 @emilyrose3.bsky.social · 25/02/2026

Thanks! I like that interpretation. :) It was inspired by a day at the lake, seeing the water meet the grass and flowers by trees that rose to the sky and heavens above

My mom gave me this book for Christmas so I decided to fill it with my poems. :) First poem: Colors #poetry

Book cover days, "Never give up on your dreams"

Azure ripples
gently flow
to verdant green
barring way.
Thin lines climb,
color splashes,
striking purple,
vibrant orange.
Rise higher,
emerald
to sapphire.
Light to dark,
to light again.
Glowing amber,
hold back
the ebony void.
Where still,
light plays.
