Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 5hWell they were already well in the process of moving as much software to the cloud as they could before LLMs, this is just one more reason to do so... But some may end up screwed, the rich and powerful don't always get their way! (Against other rich & powerful, like OpenAI) See Yahoo, Nokia... 000
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 6hIsn't decompiling Adobe basically stealing from them tho? But even without decompiling, adding features to Krita or Gimp should just be so much easier now. (I was already using Krita & Gimp before LLMs tho) 100
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 7hI think it still sounds reasonable! We're approaching a point where creating software can now be very cheap and easy, which is nice, lots of people are creating fun thigs! 100
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 8hThe newest models are definitely getting better! They're very good at coding, and widely used there. They also give decent and cheap legal and medical advice (and other topics, like language learning). Tho sure, journalists or lawyers etc. using them to slack at their job deserve mockery. 000
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 11hWell the thing is, Altman's tech works, and quite well, the people buying are (usually) not getting scammed. The problems are: - flooding the world with slop - over-reliance on it makes skills shrink - making ASI, which would be an extinction risk 121
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Whaaaat ? Nobody told me ! Well, guess I know what I have to do then... 000
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Daily #47 - Goblin Malfoid (look, it made sense in context) 010
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Bottom leg was quite bad, so then spent a bunch of time studying photos of lizards climbing, but eh, no time to make a new one 010
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I have a goblin army but I'm not very happy with the paintworkz so instead, have this drawing od a goblin bsky.app/profile/emil... 020
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Yes, that's right, in French, spelling -> pronunciation is straightforward enough if you know the rules, but not the other way around. English, both are kinda tricky (e.g. through, though, tough, cough). 011
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 29/09/2026French dude here, warning, spoken French is kinda hard tho, in that we attach a bunch of sounds together (liaisons) and don't pronounce a bunch of letters. Still, triangulating between English and Spanish should help! I can indeed also get the gist of Spanish when reading it. 010
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 29/09/2026FWIW I don't think you need to call out anybody, I don't think that really helps much, it just drives up polarisation and general negativity 020
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 28/09/2026It still seems better at meeting people's basic needs than pretty much any system in history, especially when you start looking over 100 years ago! 001
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 27/09/2026All elven families are alike; each goblin family is goblinny in its own way. 020
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Nice analysis. Yeah I've been annoyed with magic focusing on characters rather than world-building since the Weatherlight days, and UB is that on steroids. 010
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 26/09/2026So as someone who was a big Lorwyn fan, I should buy some then ? 100
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 26/09/2026Come on you draw pretty damn well, I put you two in the same tier. I've tried to emulate your style quite a few times! All I need is 20 more years of practice! And 20 years ago that was your first, I mighteven have put drawings online before you, on ElfWood... 000
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Well and/or avoid shitty services that stuff ads down your throat, and pay for good services when available (also a better revenue model for creators!) I pay for youtube and never see ads (I LOATHE them), it's fine! 110
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 25/09/2026Congrats! And on my side, over a month and I've still been drawing (not quite an hour tho) every day. 110
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 24/09/2026She looks nice, tho I wish it was framed in a way that gave us a better view of her good-looking pair of great big ears. 010
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Also, for art, music, stories, people care about whether it genuinely comes from a human. For the code that creates a popup when they click on the checkout button? I don't think they care who wrote it as long as it works. 000
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Same as why I use a dishwasher - it's quicker and does a decent job. It sucks at some stuff, and some stuff I'd rather do myself, but, say, how to deserialize yaml from an AWS bucket in typescript? Rather than spending an hour tediously looking up the APIs & libs, the bot can do it for me. 110
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 21/09/2026Not sure this is true, I like coding but still use it for coding, and I think this feeling is pretty wideapread among coders, whereas almost no artist feels like that. 100
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 20/09/2026daily #35 - experimemting with scan + tablet + Krita (not satisfied but eh, gotta practice the various tools) 020
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 19/09/2026(been taking some Chinese painting classes, this time they were doing calligraphy and my Chinese calligraphy sucks so I decided to draw a frog instead) 010
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 19/09/2026Daily #35 (Chinese (ish) watercolor, for a change - 国画 I guess) 151
Emile @emiledraws.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Which one supports land value tax and cutting down on occupational licensing? 000
