every time i download a new app that's made in compose it always feels so clunky and bad and deflated and i can just immediately tell

emi @emplexx.emi.moe · 23/08/2026

linear out of all companies has a """""native""""" app made in compose and you can tell they put all of their effort into making it good and it still performs like dogshit on my pixel fucking 9

emi @emplexx.emi.moe · 23/08/2026

it's just another flutter, it's a cross platform framework at heart sold as a native one, for every thing it makes easier compared to native views there are 2 it makes harder, still laggy as hell, scrolling still sucks, material shadows aren't implemented correctly, you can just tell googl don't gaf

i don't see how an app looking good at a glance conflicts with my reasoning for compose not being a good framework

emi @emplexx.emi.moe · 15/08/2026

unfortunately, it doesn't exist

emi @emplexx.emi.moe · 02/07/2026

emi @emplexx.emi.moe · 02/07/2026

yeah i agree with that but with that being said i think i'll take down pray for complextro in particular

110

emi @emplexx.emi.moe · 02/07/2026

does that imply it would hurt to do it if they were new? 😭

emi @emplexx.emi.moe · 02/07/2026

there's a bunch of old songs of mine that got taken down a while ago by the distro i used to deliver them, i've been meaning to put them back up but couldn't be bothered, should i do it or nah

thank you!! it's almost finished and i wanted (still do) to release it this year but tbh i don't know where to fit it in or what to call it or what to do for the artwork so unfortunately it's in clip limbo for now

would probably be ideal if there was a responsive mode that shows vertical tabs by default but switches to horizontal if the window is < n pixels of width
