I haven't seen any news coverage yet of Cameron Hamilton's announcement that he has re-defined the entire field of emergency management to include only preparedness and response activities related to coordinating police, fire, and EMS. Seems like something that should get some attention.

4/ AI isn't some kind of supernatural being. It's better viewed as high-risk critical infrastructure, being run by reckless companies. Regulate them like chemical plants or aviation firms instead of letting them run PR laps about the end of the world while cashing their checks.
