Modest proposal that no human artist should have to draw Trump greeting cards (like this germane design). AI is best for the workers in this case

Enter Ivanka as Goneril, Tiffany (or Barron) as Cordelia, and, hmm…Eric as Regan?
Screenshot of Google result for “Trump children,” showing Barron, Ivanka, Tiffany, and Don Jr. You have to click “Show one more” for Eric, lol.

Screenshot of bluesky that juxtaposes two posts. The first is by Big Issue: “This is the year that horror has snuck up and ambushed the box office, with a bunch of scary original movies thrilling cinemagoers.” (Link to article) The second is by Dave Levitan: “It is going to sound silly or trite from this inside-it-all perspective but I think it's worth emphasizing: shit is exceptionally weird right now”

When I was 15 in Madison, WI, my SAT prep summer school teacher assigned us this book. The teacher was a hip dude who hated the Educational Testing Service with a passion so wanted us to know—and outwit—our enemy. The book, since updated, is satisfyingly withering about both the “test” and the ETS.
Photo of the cover of the book “None of the Above: Behind the Myth of Scholastic Aptitude” by David Owen. This is probably paperback of the original 1985 edition.

While reflecting on your replies, I caught up with “How the Liberal Media Helped Fascism Win,” two episodes of the “Behind the Bastards” podcast with scorching notes for the NYT. Amid them, cohost Robert Evans makes this exception for good reporters and editors. I’d add those reformers I mentioned.
Screenshot of the transcript from an episode of the “Behind the Bastards” podcast, in which Robert Evans says (1 of 2):

Now, I'm focusing a lot on The Times here, and my focus on them is rooted in the fact that The Times
was and is dull today our nation's chief paper of record, and as a result, we have a lot of detail as to how its journalists and editors saw the problem of rising Nazi power.
Now, I don't think that tells the whole story, because there are a lot of there.
Not only are there a lot of
individual journalists at the Times who did care about reporting on the Holocaust, just as by the way, the Times visual investigation desk has done crucial reporting on what's been being done in Gaza.Screenshot of the transcript from an episode of the “Behind the Bastards” podcast, in which Robert Evans says (2 of 2):

Right, you know, there are good people at the Times, the editors and owners of the paper, while the editors are a mixed bag and the ownership of the paper is fucking terrible.

I just read a Reddit thread on balut to learn more and enjoyed this comment
Screenshot of a Reddit comment by user kebastian that says:

I'm Filipino and this shit is nasty.

People always attribute Filipino food with this monstrosity and it dissapoints me. Sisig, sinigang, lumpia, kaldereta, kare-kare, etc. is amazing

Balut is an unholy testament to man's folly.

And it is unreasonably hard for anyone. I was looking up the Oregon family farm where some organic blueberries I liked were grown and read their job posting for seasonal packers. Imagine this workday. I know, that’s farm labor. But we can question that, too. shorturl.at/g0qQv

Let’s not fall into this trap. It’s a civil rights fight, not a culture war.
Screenshot from a New York Times newsletter. The photo shows someone carrying a trans flag. The text says:

Supreme Court Agrees to Hear Cases Involving Transgender
Athletes

The court will hear two cases testing the constitutionality of state laws that ban transgender athletes from girls' and women's sports teams. The decision signals its willingness to delve back into the culture-war fight over transgender rights.

I listened to a 2023 interview with @melissahortman.bsky.social and got a sense of why she and her work were so beloved. @dfl.org
DFL Debrief: One of one of the things that was, really great about this, legislative session in the last election, of course, that delivered the trifecta is we've seen a record amount of diversity and new voices, in the legislature. A big part of that goes to you and and and, the senate for the recruitment you did to make sure that we were recruiting candidates who represented all of Minnesota. Can you talk about why it was so important to have these new voices from very diverse communities part of this legislative process this last, session?

Rep. Melissa Hortman: Well, representation matters. Representation isn't everything, but it is significant. So whereas I can be a good legislator for Asian Minnesotans, having an Asian Minnesotan at the table and speaking on behalf of Asian Minnesotans is a different matter entirely. Somebody can speak from their own personal experience. This is why women should be at the table when we're talking about reproductive freedom because we happen to be part of that conversation.

So representation matters, and we definitely did seek out more diverse candidates. But I gotta tell you that Donald Trump was the best recruiter I ever had because after he won in 2016, a crop of candidates that we had come forward in 2018 and then again in 2020, and then again in 2022, people said, if that bozo can run and get elected president, I have to get off the sidelines That's right. And I have to come out and I have to not just talk about politics, but I have to be IN politics.
