Thanks! Yeah, it's come a long way. The SDK has open HTTP networking now, so any sideloaded game can talk to its own server. Mine is a small Python app with SQLite on Fly.io, and it runs the world boss, auction hall and leaderboards. I highly recommend them for projects of this size!

And world bosses will rotate every few weeks for the next several months so everyone has a chance to grind on the drops. Any new bosses added in the next update will go into the pool.

Pushed a server side update to scale the world boss HP for the week. Now it’s challenging but achievable. Unlike last week. All players from last week will also get a small reward from the crow during the next actual client update next month. #playdate

We had a tremendous first half-week and I’m really excited about player progress so far. That said, there’s still time to get our free #playdate game, get started, get the founder’s gift, and get a chance to get some discoveries attributed to you. 80% of discoveries are still out there.

Chief Grakka, will return Oct 26 - Nov 1st. Right now I’ve implemented 4 world bosses, each with their own special loot, and they will rotate for a while that way you have a chance to get more loot pulls. When new bosses get added in the next update, the’ll get added to the rotation.

So I overshot how much damage I thought we could all do to a world boss in week one but I tuned it for week 2 so you’ve all got a fighting shot at getting your loot drops. I’ll continue to tune this as player counts change over time to make sure it’s challenging but achievable. #playdate

That’s correct! You get one day’s worth of energy each real life day (PST). You choose if you want to spend it going deeper into caves than ever before, training harder to be stronger the next day, mining materials for crafting, experimenting with different craft combinations, etc.
