25 years ago, Spike stopped counting the days. 25 years ago, Buffy told Spike her deepest secret. 25 years of our Spuffy hearts breaking with Afterlife. #spuffy #spuffyforlife #spuffyforever #spuffyisendgame #spikebuffy

24 years ago, Spike figured out that everyone was talking to him rather than one another. He also gave Xander a look that, honestly, more people should have been giving him the entire time. And Buffy again demonstrated her unending grace. Happy 24 years of Same Time, Same Place.

It's Family History Month. It's also Elysian Fields' 20th anniversary this month, and Family just happens to be the theme of our celebratory event. So here is the definitive post-series portrait of the Summers family. You just know Spike took Buffy's last name.

28 years ago, we got a preview of Empty Places when Buffy was blamed for doing what her mother (the adult) told her (the child) to do…not come back if she left. But it's okay! The episode makes it clear everything was her fault. 🙃 Happy 28 years of being infuriated by Dead Man's Party!

Oh Eddie. With us for such a tragically short period of time. But Buffy avenged you. And made sure your book found a new home. Okay, so he probably stole it from the basement. The point is, it was still being read. Happy 27 years of The Freshman.

25 years ago, we kicked off the most controversial season of the Buffy catalogue. But also one of the best. Happy 25 years of Bargaining Parts 1&2

Buffy, while hurt, blamed herself for Angel losing his soul. She, while hurt, blamed herself for Riley cheating on her (as did the story). She learned in this episode that someone can endeavor to make themselves better out of love for her. Celebrating 24 years of Beneath You.

As a Spuffy exclusive archive, our posts do occasionally attract attention from people who A) Hate Spuffy, B) Have too much time on their hands, and C) Are chronically incapable of understanding that not everything they see will cater to them. Then there are people with humiliation kinks.

Someone mad about School Hard post, telling us that Spuffy was never a couple or lovers, alongside images that clearly disprove that

The thing about Spuffy, you can plop them in any world and they will find their way to each other. One thing they will always be: extraordinary. One thing they will never be: boring. Find all works here: shorturl.at/iEgsB

It being the last day before we kick off spooky season (and begin our 20 year celebration), Moloch decided to choose violence. The site is down currently, but your administrators have called in an exorcist (or a technopagan) to perform a ritual cleansing. Please standby.

29 years ago, Spike barreled his way into Sunnydale and changed the Buffyverse forever. They accidentally telegraphed so much in this episode, you'd think they knew what they had planned for these two. It was all a happy accident, and we were never the same. Happy 29 years of School Hard!

26 years ago, we learned the following: - Buffy has to hunt to get her rocks off - Buffy is a Dracula fangirl - Dracula is a Buffy fangirl - Dracula owes Spike £11 (and Spike isn't even charging interest) Happy 26 years of Buffy vs. Dracula!

It's National Comic Book Day, which means we're celebrating the Spuffy relationship the canon comics gave us. 🥹

Comic panel featuring Buffy leaving Spike behind in an internment camp so she can do good on the outside. Spike tells her not to worry; Buffy's like pshaw, dummy. He tells her he loves her and she starts to say it back but he asks her to wait and tell him when they see each other again

24 years ago, the final season of Buffy premiered on UPN and we (along with Buffy) received our first glance at souled Spike. We also got to see Buffy's endless capacity for forgiveness in action for the millionth time. She truly is the character of all time. Happy 24 years of Lessons!

Today is First Love Day, so we're going to take a moment to appreciate how Buffy and Spike's first loves irrevocably shaped them, for better and for worse. Both were foundational and life-changing; an Angel-less Buffy would not be the Buffy Summers we adore, and a Dru-less Spike even less so.

29 years ago today, When She Was Bad gave fans a preview of Season 6. Buffy struggled hard to reconcile with the fact that she had been dead, even for 5 minutes. That her friends didn't anticipate it after she'd been dead 5 months (147 days = 5 months) is…telling.
