Apparently we're now in the age of music distributors blackmailing artist using their own music hostage unless they pay a fee. This just happened with Symphonic that not being happy enouhg of being paid a % of anything their users earn as a fee, decided... (continue)

Every time a new version of FL Studio comes out, one of the most interesting things is being able to go in the new demo project and see how "Pros" mixed it. This said, the new one has me at a loss. Why the heck any sound would ever need SIX equalisers on it I can't answer.

Feedback on our latest track "The Rescue": Positive VS Negative. Who is right? Negative: "numb, and lacking purpose. should not be THAT LONG" Positive: "It reminds you of a place you’ve never been, but somehow miss anyway. That’s the magic of tone and texture working together."

I didn’t know how to start this post… so I’ll just say it: the hand you see in the picture is Alex’s, after being attacked by a Pitbull while on the job. Many of you know Alex as the voice of eLxAr, but when she’s not singing, she works part-time as a dogcatcher for the local animal shelter...

Discovery Mode was great for pushing new tracks. So Spotify decided you can now only push songs already doing well, chosen by their algorithm, taking away control from the artists. God forbid lesser-known tracks actually get discovered with a tool called "Discovery"!

Every time I hear someone criticize a synth track with "nothing innovative here," "the rhythm is too steady," or "it's too repetitive," I genuinely cringe. Synth tracks thrive on retro vibes, steady rhythms, and hypnotic repetition. I mean… go listen to Trap, maybe

I may be in the wrong there, uh, you tell me... but I think there's something wrong in society if people are more likely to donate 100 bucks to an idiot acting as an NPC on TikTok, than spend 1 euro on a music track someone poured their soul into.

Share a memory that relates to the night. I'll go first: Malta. Used to work at three places. The last one would end at around 3-4 am, and had to start again at 6. First bus at 5 am. I would just spend that hour sitting in front of the sea, losing myself in how dark they were.
