It is, and yes. Just B1s recently.

On rotation. There’s no B1s or B52s permanently stationed there.

What Trump and Hegseth are saying is that one of the most powerful squadrons in the US Air Force, the most power air force in human history, has been scared off by 5 half wits in a transit van. Trump is turning you into a laughing stock, lads.

Haha, and she was rightly picked up for her slovenly grammar, then proceeded to moan about getting picked up. Patriots, eh? 😁

No great loss. I pay more tax than he does. He was a registered non dom until 2025 when non dom status was rightly abolished. So, naturally he’s legging it. The sooner we have US worldwide style tax rules for those who live abroad, the better.

Was always on the cards. A full time, Aussie funded team versus a team of part timers. London shouldn’t be in the championship.

Trinity were my second team. When Donny were playing away in Cumbria or down south, I’d always have a ride up to Belle View.

They weren’t protesters 😅 Trust me, they were fuel thieves. Diesel is $12 a gallon over here.

I would bet a whole english pound that they didn’t even know the airfield was there 😁

Unfortunately. Terrorism has always been with us in one form or another tho. Being a Brit of almost senior years, we were brought up with daily death threats from the Soviets, and IRA bombs going off randomly in towns up and down the country.

Bryan @elwick70.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
Hence the arrests and questioning. However, terrorists do not make bail. I’ll bet a brand new £10 note that these lads were simply fuel thieves who’ve dropped an almighty bollock.

There was certainly intelligence that caused the alert state of RAF Fairford to be raised. Alert states go up and down fairly regularly, and bearing in mind the mess the US is in at the moment. However, these lads weren’t it. Trump jumped the gun for glory.

I reckon they were nicking diesel from farms to sell on the black market, hence “vans full of explosives”. Terrorists don’t get bail.

Bryan @elwick70.bsky.social · 28/09/2026
Nicking diesel from local farms, I reckon. Hence the vans full of “explosives”.

I’m just guessing here, but I reckon they were nicking diesel from farms in Gloucestershire and the surrounding area to sell on the black market. I could be wrong…

Not entirely sure, but if one was caught red handed with a transit van or three full of explosives next to a major military establishment, one, most probably, wouldn’t be granted bail. Just saying, like…

Indeed. Comes with the job. I don’t think there’s a driver amongst us that hasn’t had one.

Some jobs are quite tightly packed, but others, like this one, require a bit of hanging around.
