"Not that much? Surely you sight cannot be so poor.." She went to comb her fingers through his mess of dark locks entirely, though she withdrew her hand. Despite her temptations. "I think I saw a squirrel." A jest, pulling a smirk to her lips.

It does not go without notice.. & She finds it very endearing. "𝘔𝘦𝘭𝘦𝘵𝘩 𝘯𝘪𝘯.." Another twig pulled from his hair. "More branches than the beeches of Mirkwood."

Guard duty, of course. Kili has proven excellent in .. assisting with such responsibilities. It keeps him busy, afterall. Quite busy.

You will need it — I do not speak with an urgency without reason. I patrol this forest as captain of the Elven Guard. You speak without wisdom. I will not send after you and throw my guards at risk for your rocks.

These are not mindless animals whom form trust with an act of kindness. These are creatures whom hold intelligence and are corrupt with great evil..! To enter their nests for something so foolish is unspeakable. You can nary see a thing but pitch black.

These are not spiders to be befriended. Nor would they. If such a task could be performed so easily, travel through Mirkwood would not be as perilous. They have no care for friendship nor warmth. They exist to feed and are corrupt with darkness.

"There's no rush to these things either — as we elves are to be certain of our feelings above all else. But with Kili.." Her voiced trailed off, her hand comes to rest against her heart as she thinks of the one who's captured her attention. "There is nothing I am uncertain of when it comes to him"+

"Terrible perhaps. But I know you would love terribly with regret if you ignored all else for the favor of duties alone. Hm?" A tilt of her head, peering at her fellow elf as she'd try & get a read on her. "If you feel something then seize the moment.. if it is not meant to be you will know it."

Tauriel reaches a hand to the dwarf prince's face, cradling it within her palm. "Then I shall wait. But, Kili .. You should know." She began, her adoration shifting to one of mild concern. "I've no family of my own.. I lost my parents when I was young." ++

She watched the dwarf redden & her own dusting of red would shade her cheeks. "You may touch it..." She encouraged softly, brushing her hair in front of her shoulders. "If you wish.."

Leaning forward to close the distance between them, her hands carefully catching hold of Chey's own. "Then you do not have to.." Tauriel said with earnesty. "The life you live is but a precious one, Chey. One that cannot be bound by responsibilities and expectations." ++

"But is that what you want to do or are you just doing as expected of you?" She asked, her voice softening as though she wished to keep her words from being overheard. A secret between the two of them. "Would you not stay?"
