"I don't care you got Thin Mints!" "Mrrrow!" "Wait, do you got Lemonades?" *silence* "Of course you don't!" "Mrow!"

Me, watching my friends draw and design characters: YEAH! WOO! LOOKING GREAT! AMAZING! 10/10! Me, trying to design a character myself: So this is shit and not logical in the slightest. I need to toss it in the trash and burn it to hide my shame. 0/10 why did you try?

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 14/04/2025

I see! In that case, two recommendations for you (generalized): - SSD over HDD for your memory. SSD *is* more expensive but faster loading storage. Better for program performance. - Future proof the computer the best you can! Places to splurge a bit if possible include GPU and CPU.

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 14/04/2025

However, budget would be the first place to look and then go from there. You can build a better PC than pre-bought for the same price usually.

110

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 14/04/2025

It really depends on what you're looking for/wanting it for! Establishing a price range and if you're willing to build it yourself/get help would be first steps! Prime example is my PC. I did not trust building it, so I bought refurbished and its still decent, I got it used 5 years ago.

Me, at 5 AM, broom in hand, with BBNo$ blaring in the headset. "Alright, it's ass shaking hours and time to get to work before the crash happens."

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 06/03/2025

Every time I start a 2D piece, my brain always says "oh, yeah, this will be simple." And then I forget how I like to do details on mundane things that really shouldn't and now I'm sitting here debating life decisions as I draw frosting on a vent piece.

I'm sad to miss it, but it's all part of setting a standard for myself to improve things for you all. So if there *is* a stream for the day, it's not a big thing this year, and probably won't happen at all honestly. In the meantime, enjoy the sneak peeks when I post about the models I'm making!

000

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 04/03/2025

So, those who don't know me that well - Hi, I'm a part time streamer! Normally, I'd try to so something around my birthday, but this year is different. I want my stuff to be not scuffed for once instead, so there won't be a birthday stream. I wanted to shoot for a redebut on that day or near it.

Shall I repeat what I said earlier? "Come on! We're gonna go to the mall, and you can look around, and even look at the shoooes! We can stop for coffee on the way!" (Said this with all the love and affection in the world knowing there's a combo of things that would get me excited and out.)

010

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

For those wondering how these are going, being sick and busy has hella slowed it down. But have a pic of the mid-sculpt dragon for the castle design.

010

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

Me being sick has led to me spiralling a little and being loopier than ever before. Bless @cgsleepypunk.bsky.social for dealing with my delulu as I cook and suffer. I'll be happy once my body can actually help better proceee temps again.

010

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 19/02/2025

Ugh. Let this sickness take me awaaaay. I can deal with sneezing. I can deal with sore throats even. But body temperature disregulation? Why does it gotta be body temp disregulation? Good news at least - 3D model (post l8r) is almost done sculpting then I gotta texture. Just a struggle while sick

000

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 16/02/2025

I love my partners. That is, until I get too close to one while he's sick and think I'm fine until a few days later and we just pass who gets to be the pathetic sickly victorian child around like it's a game of tag.

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 07/02/2025

Look at me - a liar like always! /lh Sooo yeah. Instead of art, I've been playing Dandy's World where the event ends soon. Trust me - "As soon" as it's over. (Said lying like the dog I am.) Buuuut on a serious note, I'll either stream that or 3D art after meetings today.

000

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

Speaker art will make a return soon though. The castle is in the process of being modelled and I'll post it before texturing!

000

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

So. So much for me keeping up on art. I may or may not have been hyperfixating in a roblox game dropping an ARG so much I've been like... exclusively focused on it for half a week. Am I done with ARG? No. Do I think I'll solve it? Also know but I'm 5/7 of the way done sooo we push on.

Two more that didn't fit in the first post.

A vegas-inspired slot/roulette machine speaker

A fake speaker based around the roblox game "Pressure"

031

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 22/01/2025

Decided to make some fake speaker designs for a roblox game called "Rap Ability Test". Enjoy this thread as I add more over time and actually work on 3D modeling these! I have another few planned of hunks of cheese and maybe a DJ turntable set up.

A 90's style computer with some synthwave/vaporwave style on the screen

Two castle towers with a dragon on their drawbridge

A slice of the earth with aliens and cow on top

131

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

In all actuality, I have also been watching some low-poly and illustrative 3D modeling videos and the itch is slowly returning for it.

010

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

I really gotta remember to post updates and just be more active here. So. Update: I've been not making progress on jackshit lately. Wait- No- Don't look at my roblox hours. I said don't- ...I'm totally not hyperfixated...

I didn't realize this was just 5 days ago. Anywho, man, trying to re-learn texturing has been fun. That and realizing the logistics of what I want to do is def fun. Bright side - Once I get this set done, I've got a few more to do before it can go live on stream!

000

Elswick @elswick.bsky.social · 14/11/2024

So, "recently" (when I have energy) I've been working on my stream stuff... Enjoy this sneak peek at what is to come as I relearn things like Blender and 3D modelling for the official redebut of my stuff! (I am still occassionally streaming until then though. twitch.tv/elsw1ck)
